  1. Meeting up is out for me, babysitting my son as wife back to work earlier than him for a change. Hope it all goes well and enjoy four seasons in one day.
  2. The English pub......... http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5324/7073416867_2fd10f4122_z.jpg Berwick - Upon - Tweed.
  3. Here is mine, Italian and works very well in the summer and winter http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... 79&t=40850
  4. Leather chaps, you would not get away with that over here! I would like to see armoured denim jackets to match the jeans. At least elbow pads and lots of teflon woven in.
  5. Its great to see them coming in thick and fast now, and not just pubs!
  6. I spend ages trying on jeans till I found a comfy pair. They are RST and have huge knee protectors, bigger than in my textile trousers. I have Spada Airtech gloves which work really well and can see me getting the equivalent jacket once my present jacket gives up teh ghost.
  7. Thanks, you can put your review in the Tried and tested part of the forum http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=75 which got off to a good start but has rather died a death since. We need more reviews folks! A recommendation for cheap summer gloves with good armour is just what the reviews needs.
  8. Great run. The road at Knockhill is terrible. Weird since all the other roads are good to superb.
  9. I think you need to spend £16 and tell us how good the gloves are! Both my summer and winter gloves have the solid knuckle guards and it it the glove itself and not the protection that makes them cosy or cool.
  10. Nice bike Gayle. Glad to see you getting out and about and some challenge points.
  11. This is how I would go, both there and back. You really get going after Dunfermline. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Edi ... ,5&t=m&z=9 The only issue is going past Knockhill Racing Circuit, the road there last time I was on it (a month or so ago) it was potholed and muddy. The rest of the route is fine and keeps you on the bendy bits.
  12. Because of the negative comments I have not bothered getting either car or bike tyres filled since a series of punctures. Back to good old air.
  13. Got a ticket to see a performance of Terry Riley's 'In C' at the Glasgow City Halls as part of the Minimalist season. I can't make the Phillip Glass performance, so now listening to some Koyaanasquatsi http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/0d/Koyaanisqatsi_album1.jpg
  14. Your old helmet probably looked like your new helmet when it was new, it is just that now the seals have been forced apart more by the breath shield. I am sure if you pull the seal apart there will be fixings to slot the breath shield into.

  17. Hi, follow plead not guilty and inform the DVLA of your defence as shown in steps 1 to 3 and ask them on what legal grounds do they intend to proceed against you. Disclosing each others evidence prior to a trial is designed to limit the number of cases going to trial and basically save money. Remember, going to trial costs the DVLA money.
  18. Nice one Stevie, it is so worth the effort.
  19. Join the club of unexpected, not doing anything daft at the time accidents. I agree with going back and having a look and figuring out what happened or else you will dwel on what happened. Mine was probably a combination of the tyre contaminated with oil and the seem of tar between layers of tarmac meant the front wheel lost traction very briefly and I came off. I hope it is just the handlebars that are bent. The forks may have also twisted. Have you been able to ride since the accident? You want to get back on the bike ASAP.
  20. I had a brilliant ride today Dry roads, quite and everything clicked so I was smooth and did not fall off, even once! Thank goodness I went to a place which has someone I could borrow a pen and a bit of paper off to make a temporary tag. It was such a horrible feeling opening the top box to realise I had left my tag at home Imagine doing that somewhere like Rannoch Station. I would have had to make up a '22' out of twigs and bits of grass!
  21. The Drovers Inn (forgot my number, so had to improvise) http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7199/6835971442_acb98392d5_z.jpg
  22. There was only a Suzuki dealer there last year, was there an official stand this year?

The dream for me is most likely when I retire, in seven years time
  24. It is a bonkers engine in such an innocuous bike.
