    any chance of a provisional date at some point , so i can check with work , id hate to miss this because i cant get the right dates off, and it will depend if anyone has booked same week

    nope due to unforseen cancellation of some promised work i am too skint .

    then again, i was told it would cost around 200 quid to restrict a bike with all the relevant paperwork, was a no brainer for me ..the money went towards DAS

    DAS all the way, if you can , why wouldnt you... you'll not be bothered how much you saved when it means restricting a bike which your already saying you'd prefer not to restrict. if your already riding a 125 find a school that has flexible lesson options, i only paid for 9 hours and the tests, it doesnt always have to be 3 or 4 full days if you can already ride.

    and if anyone has suggestions for the 2nd part of the trip perhaps we can put our heads together and get that organised at the same time ?

    my instructor actually told us not to ride over speed bumps, use whichever gap is the safest, ie the kerb side if theres oncoming traffic , and the middle if its clear.

    crap... cant imagine how bad that must feel, but theres plenty who pass 2nd time around... get it rebooked and stay positive, it really is worth it

    was that aimed at nat or me roy? i will have my gear with me anyhow, cos i have to ride a 125 home from yorkshire on sunday for my daughter, hence the not bringing the T'Cat

    cant wait, tho looks like i'll be coming minus the bike , which is a shame as id have loved to do the rideout, but still looking forward to a fab weekend

    well id want a week at least , so quite happy to go on from there if anyone else fancies staying longer ... so depending on dates and cost i'm in

    Nat im hoping to leave here by about 6 if i finish early enough, and follow DP's car all the way ( unless the weathers hideous in which case i will be in it ) should make it to scotch corner by around 8 if we leave on time ( still not 100% on what time ill get done with work tho)

    then i have to get home from burton, which takes about 3/4 of an hour, and get kitted up and the bike out, unless im completely knackered and the weather is poo in which case i will jump in the car hopefully with DP and Gin

    personally i used to do what you do, with close to tickover revs and little brake, but to be honest , whenh i mastered using much more revs and the brake it was much more stable and less wobbly, up to you tho, do what works for you

    dont be daft, there will always be someone slower than you on a track day. focused events have actually sent someone home and refunded them and told them its not for you as they were that slow....that wont happen to you so just go for it lol, you havnt seen me cornering
