    Tyre Pressure

A bit of spit works well too......although, licking your tyres is seen as odd behaviour in some parts of the country.....

    Tyre Pressure

Keep an eye on the pressure mate......but if it keeps losing that amount over a short period of time you need to get it checked out....
  12. I love bendy roads....... Glad you had a good run.......a tip for riding in strong wind....don't try to fight it.....try to stay relaxed.....

    Tyre Pressure

Give the tyre a good check over to make sure it hasn't got a nail or something in it......if there's nothing there, then maybe the valve isn't seated correctly or is faulty.....
  16. Welcome to TMBF mate......pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can..... I think that you can get LED replacements for the bulbs in the clocks...... have a look on eBay and see if you can find the right ones.....
  17. It's not a bad idea to remove the caliper and clean the pistons & the rest of the caliper when changing the pads......certainly won't hurt......
  18. I have a pair of Held gloves.....they're getting a bit old and tatty now....but I love 'em......fit and feel are great.....and reasonable protection too....
  19. Welcome to TMBF mate....... Yeah.....if you split the engine you'll need to replace the gasket.....otherwise it will almost certainly leak.....

    Tyre Pressure

I usually run with 36 - front & 41 - rear......which works ok for me...... Guys doing track days normally run lower pressures......but, that is the COLD pressure......the tyres will get hotter on the track, so the actual running pressure will probably be the same as for normal road riding..... running lower pressures for "greater contact patch" is bollox in my mind...... Try different pressures and see which feels best for you.....and your riding style.....

    EXUP help :(

Very good point... it would explain why the cables move yet the valve appears to be closed more than it should. No.......my point is that could it be fully open (or the guts of the valve have been removed).......I would have thought that if it was fully closed or only partially open wouldn't that be ok at lower revs....but choke off the top end? ie, the opposite to what's happening on your bike? As I say, I don't know how it works......so these are just my thoughts.....
  22. Excellent......perseverance is the watchword here......
  23. Where are you?.......and no smart answers like sitting in front of the TV, etc......
  24. Well....that kinda depends on what style you want......you could get a standard 7 or 8 inch round headlamp.....or a twin Predator unit......

    EXUP help :(

So.....please excuse my ignorance of this modern technology......but, what if the valve has already been removed? Wouldn't that affect the low/ midrange.....but top-end would be ok? Isn't the valve just altering the back-pressure at lower revs to help with the low-end power? The fact that the cables were disconnected initially....and screw heads have been mashed previously..... Just throwing my thoughts in here.....
