  1. Welcome to TMBF mate...... I guess there's not much point in introducing yourself in the Newbies if you're not actually going to be active in biking. I'd say put them up on eBay or Gumtree.....or possibly in the classifieds in Motorcycle News.....
  2. My Triumphs all needed the clutch pulled in to start them.....but it's completely automatic now....I don't even think about it anymore.... There's a school of thought that says pulling the clutch in reduces the load on the starter as it's not having to spin the gearbox too.....how much difference that makes I don't know....
  3. Have you checked the tyre pressures? A couple of psi under inflated can make the low speed steering quite a lot heavier.....
  4. That was my thinking.....Littlecat had a similar problem when her R6 toppled over a year or 2 back.....
  5. Got a set of clipons ready and waiting Al......
  6. Welcome to TMBF......pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the folks...... Good luck with the CBT.....you'll have fun and be on the road in no time......
  7. Sorry....I stand corrected......I should know this as I have the cd.....doh!...
  8. For the price of a front reservoir rebuild kit I'd be inclined to fit one......and give the whole lot a good clean out whilst it's apart.....
  9. Nice one mate.......well pleased for you.....
  10. Could be a goer......http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speed-triple- ... 1e90c5d786
  11. Gotta check my leave.....but we normally go on the Friday.....not as mad as it is at the weekend.....
  12. The side stand off a 955i Speed Triple should fit......same engine and frame......
  13. Can do Ollie........Marina at 09:00 - 09:15?
  14. I'm afraid it's just what some bikes do.... We have a YBR125 that starts on choke no problems......but if you dare touch the throttle within 5 mins of starting it just dies......and this seems to be a common thing with the YBR.... Mr Fro is right.....it could just be that it's just too much choke for the weather conditions.....so, a little experimentation may be required....
  15. Worn chain rubbing strips on the swingarm?.....
  16. Must like pets..... I'll edit it for you mate......before it descends any further......
  17. Could be tempted with this Neil.......and then go for a little bimble after......sounds like a plan.....
  18. Good luck Glorian......I'm sure you'll be fine.....
  19. I'm working on the 13th.....so, Sunday 14th is a possible......or the following weekend is also possible....
  20. We'll probably head over to the Marina for a short while....and then head across to the White Swan after.....
  21. The only trouble I can see is that there's protective fabric at the bum & knees......so, if you move the knee armour you may not have the protective fabric in the right place......but, otherwise you should be ok.....
  22. Dirty Deeds Done Real Cheap - AC/DC
  23. Most alarms have a plug or similar that jumps the immobiliser connections on the alarm connector.....but I'm guessing you probably don't have the override plug? The only other thing is to do a search on your alarm model and see if there's any advice on disconnecting it on the internet....
  24. I don't know this bike.....but, does it have a kill switch? I'd disconnect or override the alarm too.....just to eliminate it....
  25. Welcome to TMBF mate......pop over to the newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys.....they're more likely to help if you do this first.... Anyway.....sounds like the lever or rod are catching on something.....kneel down beside the lever and move it by hand and see if the mechanism is catching on something....
