  1. After dropping my SJ1000 and b*ggering up the power switch I decided to look for something that's a bit more permanent on the bike.......and a camera system that can be powered from the bike more easily........so, a bit of research threw up the Innovv C-3. I bought it direct from Innovv.....who are based in China........and it took about 2 weeks to arrive. The camera part connects to the control unit via an HDMI cable (although it's a bit non-standard)........so the camera can be mounted remotely from the controller. The kit is pretty comprehensive.....with various camera mounts and a pocket clip for the controller (but the controller unit isn't waterproof, so it would need to clip to an inside pocket in wet weather). There's also a variety of leads, a cigarette lighter USB adaptor, a 12v-5v converter supply with pretty long leads on it and a remote mic option (although, this shares the same USB socket as the power connection.....so you can only use one or the other) The camera unit can be mounted pretty discreetly....on the underside of the nose fairing, between the headlights on my bike. And the control unit mounted somewhere out of the weather......but with easy access. The 12v-5v power unit on mine was DOA.......so I emailed Innovv and they replied promptly, sent a pic of the unit to make sure we were both talking about the same thing, were very apologetic and are sending me out a replacement unit.....so, support is pretty good I think. Not had chance to use it too much yet.......but here's a clip from the Ashley Martin Memorial Rideout last weekend... Well......I would have uploaded a link to a Youtube vid if our f*cking internet was anything like resonable......and my tablet made any sense when trying to do this kinda sh*t......... Picture quality is pretty good......so, once my technical gremlins have been sorted, I'll put something up......... https://youtu.be/fmbstYNeNTY

  3. Welcome to TMBF mate........pop over to the Newbies section and introduce yourself to the guys when you can..... Battery not charging........most likely a duff Reg/Rec or Stator........or possibly both........
  4. Happy Birthday Alan.........have a good'un mate.....don't get drunk and fall overboard!!......
  5. You can get electronic ones that connect to the coil......prices vary though......
  6. So.....Ollie.......did the forks come apart or will they not separate?.......a bit of heat at the top of the sliders and some good old brute force and ignorance normally does the job....... If you need a hand let me know.....
  7. Well worth getting an off road bike for......pretty spectacular.....
  8. I lost my best mate to kidney cancer 6 years ago on the 22nd of this month........so this is very dear to my heart......and I will obviously be wishing Jon well on this epic quest....and showing my support as much as I'm able......
  9. Normally you'd do the DAS with a training school........who provide a suitable bike to sit the tests on......
  10. Welcome to TMBF mate......... Personally I wouldn't bother with the 125.......do your DAS and get something a bit bigger......just MHO of course......
  11. That's what I'd do.......
  12. Yep....it's your money mate........spend it how you wish....... Personally, I'm a cheapskate.......most of my gear is secondhand (except the lid).......and there's bargains to be had........ I agree that I'd go with "proper" biking boots........sounds like you're self employed, so you don't need to be off work with a silly injury because the boots didn't protect your ankle or shin....... 2-piece leathers with a waterproof oversuit just in case. Have a look at HELD gloves.......I've found them to be the most comfortable gloves I've ever worn........and most of them offer good protection too. Happy shopping mate......

  18. Welcome to TMBF mate....... Yeah, DAS is the way to go for you I think........not all bigger bikes are fire breathing monsters.......and they'll all only go as fast as you let them.......
  19. Are you gonna give Darren a bell and see if he's up for this, Neil?
  20. Yeah....they'll be happy to flog you one at the entrance Neil........we've got to pick ours up there too...... All proceeds to MAGPAS........so, it's all for a good cause......

The mess that Labour left the economy in?.......
  22. Do you kill-switch it or full ignition off? If it's kill switch, then you could be right about loss of pressure in the fuel line as it may not be doing the pump prime that it does when you turn the ignition on......
  23. Yes mate......over 24 to go straight to full A license.....
  24. Yeah....I've got one Ollie......and also a trolley jack and a headstock stand...so, between all that stuff we should be able to get you sorted out.......
  25. Cut the connector off and crimp some insulated spade tags onto the wires.......
