Yeah....a lot of bikes need choke to start, but often the choke can be turned off almost immediately....

Excellent day out guys.....so nice to meet some more of you guys and put faces to names......and also great to meet up again with some familiar faces...... Big thanks to Phil and Fro for sorting the route......and also leading it and riding tail-end charlie...... You know you're always welcome on Speedy, Moo...... Yeah....agree with Mandy, deffo feeling old now....... Looking forward to more pics and vids......

Moved to London & Southeast rideouts section......but maybe you could put it into the Cambs & East Anglia section too...... Are you coming along to the meet tomorrow and next Sunday?......could be a chance to meet up with someone who's nearish to you who's also looking for a riding buddy.....

Flip front lids are quite often noisier......

I just find it odd that more bikes don't have belt drives........there must be some kind of limitation that is stopping them......maybe it is the problem of configuring the bike so that it can be replaced without having to drop the swingarm for replacing them.......

Sorry...yes, ATF (automatic transmission fluid)......mixed with some acetone seems to be a highly effective penetrating fluid.......gear oil can be used instead of the ATF......just needs to be some fairly thin oil, mixed vigorously with the acetone.......

Give them all a good soak in atf/acetone mix before even attempting to undo them......

It's an engine strip job......but not too daunting on that little engine......

Yeah.....EAB is probably right about the crankshaft seals......if they're shot you'll not get the mixture transferred to the combustion chamber.....or not draw it in in the first place......

Yeah, I took them on the phone and then tried to download them onto my tablet to edit them.....but the tablet wasn't having none of it......so I had to upload them unedited from the phone.......damn tablet is getting slower by the day..... -

Slow progress..... But at least some progress..... Forks stripped, cleaned, sliders painted, new seals and reassembled. Stripped the paint off the top and bottom yokes and repainted them. Just need to paint the frame and clean & paint the engine.....and then the assembling can start.....
