  6. Yeah....a lot of bikes need choke to start, but often the choke can be turned off almost immediately....

    It never leaves you mate.......you can try to suppress it for a while, but it will still get you.....

  15. I just find it odd that more bikes don't have belt drives........there must be some kind of limitation that is stopping them......maybe it is the problem of configuring the bike so that it can be replaced without having to drop the swingarm for replacing them.......
  16. Normally 3/4 zip or more is acceptable Joe......
  17. Sorry...yes, ATF (automatic transmission fluid)......mixed with some acetone seems to be a highly effective penetrating fluid.......gear oil can be used instead of the ATF......just needs to be some fairly thin oil, mixed vigorously with the acetone.......
  18. Give them all a good soak in atf/acetone mix before even attempting to undo them......
  19. It's an engine strip job......but not too daunting on that little engine......
  20. Yeah.....EAB is probably right about the crankshaft seals......if they're shot you'll not get the mixture transferred to the combustion chamber.....or not draw it in in the first place......

  22. Just sussed out how to reduce the resolution on the phone.....
  23. Yeah, I took them on the phone and then tried to download them onto my tablet to edit them.....but the tablet wasn't having none of it......so I had to upload them unedited from the phone.......damn tablet is getting slower by the day.....
  24. Slow progress..... But at least some progress..... Forks stripped, cleaned, sliders painted, new seals and reassembled. Stripped the paint off the top and bottom yokes and repainted them. Just need to paint the frame and clean & paint the engine.....and then the assembling can start.....
