Nice one sheep_onna_bandit (Who will now and forever more be abbreivated to SOB as it's easier to type and also stands for Son Of a Bitch!! ) Towards the end of this month I will be posting up a map showing loads of routes in that various people local to the area have agreed to meet people so no one gets lost on the run in. As well as that their will be a couple of other closer places close to MFN where myself and maybe a couple of others willing to stay sober will be happy to run out to, to meet people.

Could be an idea Clee.... Could you point it out on Google maps?

Urm... Is the left handlebar meant to dangle like that!! Glad it's repairable mate.. Suppose it's only a trackbike though so no biggie.

No such thing mate... You won't be the only 125 rider there, I am sure... In fact the main organiser Susie is a 125 rider!! It's not so much about what ya riding anyway mate... It's about turning up and partying.

You put forward a good argument!! We will have to get something arranged!!

Like Susie says if you are a car driver you will find it easier. My only recommendations would be to make sure you can practise loads on the Hazard Perception... It can be tricky for all the wrong reasons unfortunately....

Well...... viewtopic.php?f=36&t=22245 Also thinking about another holiday in August or Sept to see South Wales this time. I had bigger plans to visit Ireland, but something even bigger has turned up in the last couple of days which I need to start saving for!!

If weather is good I might pop down... Meant to have a company picnic but... yeah.. EDIT: I'm a dirty big fat liar!!!! All being well I will be in Wales that day!!

I found the exact opposite Mally. 4 days there and never got pulled over, never had any problems, and only saw the helicoptor out once. I wore my mirrored visor constantly (With the exception of a couple of hours one day) and never had any problems with that. About 4 police cars saw me with it. You can have a perfectly good time there if you don't take the pee with speed. In regards to the roads, they are a million times better than any I have been on in England. Smooth tarmac, well sign posted, extra grippy tarmac where appropriate and sensible speed limits.... Common sense has been used rather than the over reaction you get in England. If the weather is good and a few fancy meeting up at the Ponderosa Cafe for a rideout, if I am free I will be up for it.

It was only a lamb... Keeping a keen eye on me, but it never moved. It's Mother watched me the whole time as well... It's the one true thing about Wales.... Sheep are feckin everywhere!!!

A few more photo's from my tour. Already planning my next tour and probably my next bike. My parents will be visiting America next year. They have invited me and suggested I hire I bike for a week and meet up with them after. To be honest it sounds like a great idea. They are considering flying into Canada then driving down to New England (Their favourite destination). I thought I would do the same, but on a bike. Currently my finance's might be the only problem I have. I obviously have my trip to Scotland next year as well. This trip and nearly 3 weeks in Canada and America might not be possible... And have an appropriate bike!!! The Hornet is a lovely bike for weekend fun, but a touring bike it ain't... Spending 3 miles riding down the road with my right leg stretched out due to a bad knee must of looked weird...

Cheers mate... Couple of easy things to make a tour write up half decent. Have a pad and pen to jot down notes, and take more pictures than you will ever need... Some of my photo's were taken 3 or 4 times just so I could get a half decent one. Already planning my next trip.... Got about 3 places in mind at the moment. Lessons learnt from this one. Don't stretch your physical limits (I nearly had a couple of off's due to tiredness). Have a good camera, but also a quick point and click camera (I need to get a decent one) And the real biggie for me..... Don't plan too much. I planned every day and every route and the real fun and best part of my holiday was when I got lost one day.... Next tour I will be winging it as much as possible. Oh, and show respect to the locals and they will respect you back. I was warned that North Wales had Police that hated bikers, locals that hated bikers and everyone hated the English. I saw nothing like that at all and I put it down to my manners.

Cheers mate... Height problems might be an issue for me with that.... Going to look at a couple of Honda's that I fancy (Varadero and Blackbird) a KTM, or maybe...................................... A BMW!!!
