  1. Stunning looking helmet mate!! As it's one of the newer models though it might not be easy to find a cheap one... You might get lucky though....
  2. If it fits your head I would highly recommend it... You can normally find some cheap as well.... Good D-link fasterner, pinlock.... if you use it properly!! and look fantastic.
  3. Difficult to make any specific recommendations to you mate... Depends what will fit your noggin!! Put it this way you will have a mahoosive choice there and shop around... I found the helmet I bought was £130 more expensive at another stall!!
  4. Got to agree. That new track is something else!!!!
  5. Yeah... Hoping they will be cheaper.... About £105 is the cheapest I have found them on the web so far... Would like to get some for about £80 if possible... Along with a million other things I want!!
  6. They are everywhere mate!! You will find you become less fatigued wearing earplugs as well..... The noise inside your helmet is pretty loud even at 40mph...
  7. Don't have any at the moment.... These are gonna be my first. Some other people on here will have better ideas than me... Sure they will be along in a bit.
  8. It's about 50 / 50 I think. Personally if I am riding all day I wear em... If I am going out for a quick blast I normally have my IPOD on... Looking to replace the earphones soon with "In ear" headphones though... Give em a try mate.... You may grow to appreciate them.
  9. RJ... In theory they are illegal.... Most coppers don't mind though as long as you don't get caught using them in darkness or really poor light, or don't get caught doing something so stupid they want to do you for everything they can to get you off the roads.. It's always best to carry a clear one as well to be on the safe side... DJ.... You buy em tinted mate... The cost slightly more than clear ones but are good.
  10. You will be amazed how well you can still here stuff mate.... Mainly they stop the wind noise which over prolongued exposure will have a negative affect on your hearing.... Weird to begin with, but is ok after a while.
  11. Moved to the clothing section for you mate. All sorts out there, and most of them work well.... finding some with good crash protection as well it's difficult. I am hoping to pick up some Alpinestar 365 Goretex ones at the Motorbike show next month.
  12. Think they are ok mate.. I would recommend here as well.... A few of us use this site. http://www.racevisors.co.uk/index.php
  13. Jeans. The facts Just reading a magazine and came across this small article and thought I should share it. How well do denim jeans last in an accident? Comparative tests show new denim lasts around 0.4 seconds before wearing through. You can expect leather to survive for 2.5 seconds and many samples of cowhide will comfortably exceed that. Worn or washed denim will wear through even quicker than new denim. Jeans with panels of abrasion-resistant Kevlar-type material are becoming popular, but check to see how much of this material there actually is. and where its situated. Hood jeans ( http://www.hoodjeans.co.uk ) are almost entirely lined with abrasion-resistant material.
  14. Well it means that should your helmet take a hit on the bits they test then in theory you will fair better than people in 1, 2, 3, and 4 star helmets.....
  15. Yeah, I know some of us don't trust, believe, or care about them, but they have been testing more... Got this e-mail today.
  16. Too right he aint sorry!! Funny though!!
  17. Fuses can blow for a million reasons..... One spike of electricity and pop it goes.... I suppose checking for a worn cable somewhere touching the frame or looking for somewhere where water could get in should be the best bet I suppose.... See what you find. The fuses are their to protect the bike, so at least it did it's job.
  18. Hi Mate Welcome to the forum!! Drop into Newbies and introduce yourself... No idea about the bike unfortunately... Someone should though!!
  19. Hi Debs Pop into Newbies and introduce yourself!!
  20. Meant to be good helmets mate... Did it feel ok when you were wearing it? Have a look at this to make sure it ticks all the right boxes viewtopic.php?t=15767 Only negative I have heard is that the cushioning inside the helmet can bed in a little too quickly and leave you with a loose helmet..... Saying that though, I have also heard the exact opposite.. If it fits you properly mate, I think it's a good choice!!
  21. No its not! I couldn't have a bike with no wind protection! pansy!!
  22. Nah, it means naked. Engine, handlebars and all open for the world to see!!
  23. GOG Gonna lock this thread to make sure everyone uses the other one.... Just so no one get confused!!
  24. Hi mate... When it comes to fairing go with personal choice mate. You can get some great race replica fairing nowadays.... Im with Foz though... Best fairings are no fairings!!
  25. Aye... I was somewhat pleased with that. I have to say I contemplated putting Rossi in there, but as awesome as he is I just did not expect him to get up the field like he did!!
