  1. You can have them done in stages.Say,the outline in one visit, then shading on another, then detail on the third visit and so on. But to be honest that is not what i like to do.I am impatient and want the tat finished as soon as possible but if budget is a problem it is a way to get one done if you really want one.
  2. Just got back from my theory test and passed. 44 out of 50 for the theory 62 out of 75 for the hazard perception It was like sitting in a morgue in the test room, you could`nt even fart without someone noticing. Now to update my photo on my license which expires at the end of this month.
  3. Here`s a couple of mine. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/davdandy/004.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/davdandy/003.jpg I had these two skulls reworked two months ago as i didnt like the original designs.Costs £200 and took about 2.5 hours. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v321/davdandy/014.jpg My reaper design, from which i got my nickname.Took about 3 hours to do and cost about £180 ish.
  4. Have a look at Google images for the design you would like, there are loads of pics to choose from and you can get the idea of size and placement you require. Also think about where it will be,if your job requires for you to be professional then maybe the upper arms or back piece would be better.I have mine on my upper arms and shoulders, which if needed can be covered by a short sleeved t-shirt. Most important though is NEVER go to a back street tattooist. It simply is not worth it.It cost a bit more for a pro to do it but art costs money, and having a tattoo is art so don't ruin it by having it done cheap. Check out the local artist in your area then check out the conventions,if the artist near you practises at these then you can be mostly confident that they are genuine.Do not go to one that simply has a sign above his door saying he is a tattoo artist, many are dreadful while others are great.Research research research.Don't go in feet first. As for prices,it all depends on size and detail.the design and size of the first post you did would be about £100/150 i would guess but the more detail in the design the higher the price because the artist needs a lot more time to do the work. Hope this helps.
  5. If you are only going away for a few days do you really need your phone. When i go away i leave the phone at home. When i am on holiday i want to be left to enjoy myself and not be mithered by anyone ringing me.But thats just me.
  6. Its a niggly point isn't it,surely if nothing is coming you should be able to carry on but as it is a test you need to stop. Bloody test`s,i hate the things.A far better way would be to assess a rider on merit by his examiner, test`s make people nervous,me included. I have yet to do mine so its a lesson well learnt i suppose.

    Noisy bikes,tush tush.
  8. Suffered mate. Those stop signs are a bitch are`nt they,it is so easy to slow down then carry on if nothing is there, but the sign says STOP.Easily done and as a car driver for 30 years i still do it. Good luck next time.

    Neighbours

We are quite lucky. On one side we have an elderly couple who are brilliant and lovely people,i told them that if they move we are moving too. On the other side we also have wonderful neighbours and often have a chat over the fence. Love the street and people.
  11. Good luck mate. I know all about bad backs,i have suffered from them for years,i have a twinge right now but nothing major. But when it goes it goes big time.

    Wasps

At least bees are good for the garden, what the hell do wasps`s do apart from annoy us.
  13. A shoe shop wouldnt create a fuss if you walked in with shoes on would they,so don your boots and buy what suits and fits you.Its your money,it spends anywhere.
  14. I have just done a quick online test,i clicked about 5 times per video and i scored 29 out of 50,or 58% i think it was. Would 5 clicks be enough do you think or am i being over cautious with the mouse.?
  15. I`m about to sit mine next week. I have done a trial hazard test online and like everyone else wasn't sure when to click and how many times.I saw ten videos altogether, each lasting about a minute. So roughly how many clicks would be deemed correct, and do you click when you see a hazard, when you approach the hazard or when you on top of the hazard? Anyways, well done on passing.

    Wasps

Dont mention wasps to me. last week i was at work, knocking a hole out in a wall for a boiler flue to be fitted. It was high up on a ladder, and as soon as i started knocking the bricks i disturbed a waps nest which i didnt know about. It seemed the whole nest went on the attack,i was stung on the hand twice,on the neck and the shoulder twice.Five stings in total. I flew down the ladder and screamed under my breath.Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. So,yes,i know all too well how you feel mate.
  17. I quite like a couple of cute little bots.
  18. Nice feeling isnt it.I only did mine last week so i know all too well. Well done mate.
  19. Because this country has more than its fair share of morons and McDonalds munching arse wipes. Hope it comes out ashloh.
  20. I feel a bit nervous right now,i`ll be back in a couple of minutes.
  21. Only 12 days did i really look at bikes with any interest, before that i didnt look twice at them.In fact i would go on to say i used to laugh at the very thought of motorbikes and all that goes with it. In 12 days my whole look on the subject has turned on its head,so much so that i booked by CBT for Friday gone and thankfully passed. So,how did i do? Firstly i have to say that i have NEVER rode a bike in my life, not even as a kid.I am now 48 yrs old and was about to take the controls for the first time in my life. The morning was spent with the instructor and one other learner, the other chap had a rev and go,i was learning geared bikes. All the safety guidelines where mentioned and the highway code then off to the test area. The other chap found it easy, well he didn't have to do the gear change like me,but i struggled.having driven cars for 30 years the new setup on the bike was alien.I couldn't get used to the clutch and the braking, totally different to the cars i use.But i persevered to the stage i was to go on the road. Not exactly excited at this prospect i rode out onto the road with the instructor and the other guy.I stalled many times because i kept failing to engage the clutch, but never fell off and for the most part did ok.Then we went on to a stretch of road that was a 50 zone, the instructor said `give it some welly`,well,i was petrified,i managed 45 mph but felt like 145mph,i was bricking it. A few more streets and a few more turns and back at the center. He gave me my CBT but added that maybe one more additional encouraging lesson may be in order,to which i fully agree. But as a first timer i thought i did well. I am now about to re-read the highway code for my theory,a book i haven't honestly read for 30 odd years. So,one step at a time eh?
