  1. We've booked for 60 tents, so with a bit of luck there should be room. MInd you, last year we had to close the list!
  2. Have a word with yorbandit - he's been taking his lad on the bike with him since he was quite young
  3. getting slated before being anywhere near the actual rally, ah cheers mate,I know you love me,some inspirational talk there.lool I don't think so at all Donnie - I may be wrong but All Bex is saying is that you need to be pro-active!! You don't know what you can do until you've tried!
  4. Early bird and all that GOG!!!!

    Please help!

I hear what you're saying but please reconsider this viewpoint. The distance you'll be travelling is pretty irrelevant really - an accident can happen 100 yds from home! I would advise to at least have a proper bike jacket with all the protection in it, even if you don't buy trousers ( which personally I feel are essential too - as well as boots). There is well -documented video evidence showing what can happen to a person's body when it isn't suitably protected! Not nagging, just pointing it out

    Please help!

Can I ask why you say you'll only need helmet and gloves?
  7. Aaww noooo!!!! Was hoping that the lovely significant other would be able to enjoy the delights of a forum Rally!! But I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time in Italy!
  8. Don't know anything about your particular bike but I'm assuming it has a choke and you're using it when you first start the bike from cold? You may find that you need to let it run for a while on the choke without touching the throttle. This is the case on my bike.
  9. ...added you to the list Greendawg! 10. You can buy tents and sleeping bags that fold very compactly and can be bungee'd to your pillion seat etc. I bet you'll find it's a lot easier than you think!! You'll just have to discipline yourself into travelling light!
  11. at the moment.... http://www.benidormlovers.net/Radio.htm ...Rennie & DJ sometimes!
  12. Cheers! If I remember rightly, last year she said it had something to do with the number of tents in the field - i.e the amount of square footage for each. If we had too many tents then couldn't have a gazebo - even though there was loads of room!
  13. Oh that's good!!!! So no-one else will be on there? If that's the case it might be worth finding out if we can have a gazebo too if we don't have 60 tents - their reason for not allowing it last year was because of other people being there/not enough room.
  14. Think Stu has provisionally booked for 60 tents - obviously that would be smaller tents, not family bungalows! When there are a few more names we'll start counting numbers
  15. Pretty certain it's out of action I'm afraid. You'll have to get to Tesco & get yourself some cheap camping gear!
  16. Ha ha ha someone posted it on another forum, suggesting it could be Rennie!!! It's just sooo wrong on many levels!!
  17. Hi Stuart, Mr Mechanic Man! Bit far for me I'm afraid - plus the fact that my daughter who is coming to visit me to take me out for lunch might object!
  18. Yes, as Polecat says, you can't use car NCB on a bike unfortunately! Have a read of this topic.... http://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/view ... 47&t=31635 ...it'll tell you everything you need to know about getting your bike licence. If anything isn't clear, just ask!
  19. Doubly stuffed - my only rider retires from 2nd race ffs!!
  20. Well that's me stuffed from the start - one rider out injured!
  21. Looking nice Craig! All ready to win prizes at the Hull Show again this year!!!!!
  22. You kinda have to weigh up the cost of lessons on a bike bike against buying a 125 & teaching yourself. If you buy wisely, a good 125 will hold it's value for when you want to sell it so you probably wouldn't lose much money, if any.
  23. Great little rideout today - got the rest of the pubs and The Raven Cafe, so that's another 40 points plus the bonus!! Can we have our 'medals' please Mr TC??!!
