    uploading?

All photos I take on my phone get backed up to google plus. I then just add the pics I want to post to a public album and share the link. I dont remember the last time I uploaded a photo manually.
  2. yep, with living in the sticks comes different sorts of problems... like needing to replace fence panels... Try carrying three fence panels on your bike!! This is my car from the weekend just gone:
  3. do you mean Dwarfs??
  4. A car's a car mate. So long as it runs and keeps you dry thats all that counts. I know many will hate me for the next line, but IMO bikes make great hobbies, cars make great transport.
  5. You can buy the stuff to make your own moulded earplugs from ebay and then drill them to accept a set of headphones.. Saw a YouTube video showing a guy doing it.
  6. This will cheer you up.... shame you have a broken hand.... (NOT work safe)(NOT work safe)(NOT work safe)(NOT work safe)(NOT work safe) http://www.legrugru.com/avent/ (NOT work safe)(NOT work safe)(NOT work safe)(NOT work safe)(NOT work safe)
  7. Make a mockery out of the building control insisting on 1meter deep concrete footings for my single storey extension...
  8. ive got AplineStar S-MX6 boots. very comfy
  9. Another RST owner here with no complaints. Sounds like you're considering getting a one piece suit. If its for the road, its more convenient to have a two piece that zips together.
  10. According to the news reports - the dead man was sitting in his vehicle. when he was shot. sitting in his vehicle with the 15yr old as passenger - busily causing criminal damage by repeatedly reversing his truck into one of the shooters cars. The physical attack was over and done. The shooter himself wasn't being threatened. He went back into his bungalow. came out with a shotgun and used it. So a case of RAGE taking over a man with a gun.... He'll stay locked away for a while longer Going back to my comment above. people who cant control their temper are the wrong people to have guns in the house.
  11. And that will likely be that basis of his appeal case. If the stab wound to the neck was life threatening and the blood loss was sufficient to cloud his judgement, he may have a strong case for appeal. But shooting them in the back would suggest they saw the gun and turned to run away, which will be used by the prosecution to throw out the appeal.
  12. Get upstairs point the gun down out of the window and fire a couple of warning shots into the van to make them realise the weapon is loaded and to alert the neighbours who will all get on the phone to report a shooting. Shooting them in the back is not self defence. And if you get carried away in "the heat of the moment" then you're probably not the right type of person to keep guns in the house in the first place. Shoot someone in the back = go to prison Any other result would made a joke of the legal system.
  13. ... its a whole different world up north!!
  14. yep, probably end up with a bit of wood with some bolts through it to screw the wires to!!
  15. I really want one of these so i can fuse all the outputs, but cant justify 40quid for a distribution board... http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/d ... d-fuse-box
  16. I like the idea of using relays.. it would mean the light switch can be a long way away from the lights without having the high current passing down long wires... the power needed to keep the relay switched would probably be less than the power lost in long runs of cable.
  17. got to say, im well impressed! I just went out in the darkness to try out the LED lights. I only tried one of the strips to start with. Now bare in mine my garage is a dumping ground for builders at the moment, and all my gear is locked away in a secure unit, so excuse the mess!! Here are the results... First i laid it out on the floor: One 5m strip pulling 1.8 amps from the leisure battery. Ignore the battery monitor, the battery is fully charged - it got upset when running power through the ammeter. Comparison to my little torch... the white balance of the camera makes the torch look dim! Conclusion?? im dead impressed - four of these should be plenty to light up my garage!!!
  18. Get a square of plywood and make a 15x20 square light board. You can then use this wherever you're working. Being a bigger light source will reduce nasty shadows.
  19. Does that make us "prepers"? Glorian will be along soon to tell us about his food stash in his underground bunker..
  20. Just connected to the big battery. 12.5volts, 1.96Amps. That's more realistic figures for the amount of light it was kiking out. Waiting for darkness to try them out properly.. Mr.Fro, the problem with low voltage is the voltage drop over the cabling. A 3% voltage drop on a 240v circuit is not a big problem, where's a 3%drop on a 12v circuit is a problem. Also its much more efficient to have high voltage, low current lighting than low voltage high current. That's why the big overhead power grid cables run at many thousands of volts - partly to reduces transmission line losses.
  21. My lights arrived and I tried them out. I got an old 12v burglar alarm battery that needs a charge. Currently reading 10.8v Connected up one of the 5m strips and it was pretty bright and only drawing 0.33 amps. Once the missus is out of the house I'll bring the leisure battery in from the garage and have a play..
  22. Try totalcarcheck.co.uk It gives a bunch of info for free including if its stolen.
  23. I built a little circuit to demonstrate how cable length affects current in each branch of a parallel circuit: Click the link below to have a play with the circuit: http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5579044267491328
  24. That brings back happy memories.. I had a j-reg AF1-125 in the same colour scheme when I was 17. Good luck with the rebuild
  25. And yes I do need to learn to spell "parallel".. Stupid phone... lol!!
