  1. thats 30% too tight... might as well not use a torque wrench and just do it by hand
  2. LOL, i bet that made him happy!!
  3. Machinemart have a few options for digital wrenches.
  4. how were you comparing them??
  5. Sack your mechanic! There's no synchro on any of your gears!! Bikes have Constant mesh gearboxes...
  6. Pretty normal mate. A good clunck let's you know you're in gear
  7. Which bike is it? In went -1/+3 on my gixxer 600. Made the bike a lot more frisky. Great fun! I'm a firm believer that all bikes leave the factory with too high gearing just to satisfy EU noise and emmisions regulations.
  8. Prime example of what I mean.. Lots of people just get the grinder in there and start making the airways bigger on the misguided belief that larger holes mean more performance. That's simply not the case.
  9. vaseline too then Lol stupid predictive text...
  10. A long breaker bar! The but will be done up pretty tight.. Also, if your speedo reads off the front sprocket you'll need a speedo healer.
  11. he needs a faster bike
  12. Soak it with WD40 and as stu says, see if you can pursuade it to slide round so you can access the bolt head the other side..
  13. looks like a captive nut this side... I discovered the other day that soaking old rusty nuts in Coca-Cola can free them!
  14. Its peeing down with rain...
  15. just get a solar trickle charger. so long as there is nothing draining the battery, the solar panel will be enough to keep it charged. this is a big one - you can get smaller ones... http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs- ... ner-12v-6w EDIT: This one is half the price http://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs- ... r-12v-1-5w
  16. Opening up the ports without a longer duration/higher lift cam could actually slow down the airflow into the cylinder meaning you get less air in every cycle which means less power.
  17. Man walks into a bar with his pet giraffe. Giraffe downs a few beers, falls over and passes out. Barman says "you cant leave that lying there" Man says "its not a lion, its a giraffe"
  18. Most of what we do to our bikes doesn't make financial sense, and anything we do to our bikes wont always make sense to others. But so long as our choices make sense to us, that's all the matters
  19. can i come?? I promise to stay in 1st gear... Seriously though, rinding with bigger bikes might give you some confidence and pointers, and if an experienced rider sees you about to do something silly, they can use the more powerful bike to nip in and alter the situation before it goes bad...
  20. Lol I once chipped a tooth trying to remove one of those stupid little screw caps.
  21. For the same reason you dont buy a proper off roader... Any modern enduro bike would be far more capable off road than the machines you take offroad... but wheres the fun in that?
  22. Can't make this one. Sunday morning is swimming class for the little one.
  23. thats what i thought... if the plate hit the top of the rear tyre, it would surely be pulled forward, and not ejected out backwards.... I reckon its a FAKE!! Also, bike fairings are pretty tough, and plates are not very heavy, so i dont think a number plate (een a metal one) would have enough momentum to stab so far into a bike fairing... I call FAKE!!!
