  1. Best one I've been to is the J&S in new Malden. Its two stories high with boots and lids downstairs and clothing upstairs. Bit of a treck from Kent, but worth it for the extra stock.
  2. Its not looking good. Wet roads but not raining here at the moment.. I'll get some stuff done and if the sun come out i might take the chance.
  3. I rode yesterday for the first time with an internal sun visor. It was a great feeling. I've always just used my sun glasses and never had any problems with them, but having ridded with an internal visor I'm now hooked. Hard to explain, but its like all these years I've been somehow resticring my senses and limiting my field of view with glasses, and now with the internal visor I have maximum visibility with no glare.
  4. Weather was fantastic today even though the forecasts predicted rain. Rain predicted tomorrow too, so lets see if the weatherman got it wrong again!
  5. Once you let the smoke out, you can never get it back in...
  6. You have a J&S in Maidstone too. Its where HG used to be. Check their website for the address.
  7. Cheers, i'll check that out.. The visor does look a pretty tight fit, but i'll see if it can be made tighter.
  8. The helmet really was an impulse buy, but so far im impressed. it feels well made, the visor and sun visor seem to work very well. Having done some research since getting home, it seems to be a pretty good lid and its won some tests - not sure if this means anything, but nice to know: http://www.hjc-helmets.uk.com/news-and- ... t-motorrad I went for the Large size as the XL was too baggy, and i couldn't get the Medium on. It still feeling a bit tight on my head, but thats normal for new lids and its good as it wont move about at speed. The boots are mega comfy. I looked at the RST boots (as i have RST leathers) but they felt too tight over the ankles. These alpine star boots feel like i've worn them for years! Really hoping the weather is going to be nice tomorrow so i can get out and give my new gear a road test.
  9. Sat here typing whilst wearing this little lot...
  10. Dropped the Mrs off at the airport, so I'm a free man for the week. On the way home I stopped by J&S to look at new boots as my old frank Thomas boots are falling apart. Never buying frank Thomas again!! So i went in just to browse, ended up leaving with a pair of alpine star boots, and a new helmet. Also i broke the habit of a lifetime and i didn't buy Shoei! I tried on the shoei gt-air and hated the fact the price varied so much just because of the graphics. The lid I wanted was 470quid which seems a little steep without any freebies like some online retailers are offering. So, I asked the guy what else they had... I tried on the HJC RPHA ST and loves it. A great fit, internal visor, pinlock that goes right to the top, removable lining, light weigh. Ticked all the boxes and its only 279quid - a big saving compare to the shoei so I thought I'd take the punt as I've read good reviews of HJC lids... The boots are the alpine star S-MX6. All black, seemed very comfy. Seem good for price tag of £189.99. Of course I asked for a discount. Ended up with free ear plugs and 5% manager discount - never not got a discount from J&S So i got new boots and new lid for less than the cost of the shoei gt-air I was going to buy.. Bargain! And with the Mrs away, I have a week to hide the evidence!! Pics just uploading...
  11. You have Laguna in Maidstone. Not the biggest range or the cheapest but worth a visit. Also think you have J&S in Maidstone. I bought a lot of gear from another branch of J&S.
  12. So I might buy a house next to Heathrow airport, complain about the noise and have the place shutdown. Then burn my house down for the insurance money and take Heathrow to court for a further 20k in damages... A dangerous precedent has been set by this ruling....
  13. Does it also hold the oil filter? Looks big enough to.
  14. Good result.... But are you sure that's the sump plug?? Normally just look like a normal bolt..
  15. stick their genitals in my bikes rear sprocket and pull away slowly....
  16. Hahahaha.... Who do you ride with?? They should be ashamed of themselves...
  17. Likely got the house cheap because of the speedway, then they get it closed down which puts their house price up. Evil greedy calculated selfish idiots.
  18. my thoughts too... i think Glorian needs some assertiveness classes. it seems everyone fobs him off with crap! the dealers have stiched him up, and it sounds like trading standards have too
  19. So lets get this straight... the fan was not working, so you swapped the Ignition fuse for the fan fuse, then the Ignition stopped working and the fan started working... have i got that right??
  20. 240-250 °f, didn't fill the tank enough with coolant only got a 1 litre. Weird when I checked the fuses they were in the wrong order, fan went mental but ignition wouldn't work unless I used a 15 instead of a 10. Engine was already warm and even with a working fan temps were still going up. well the temp would go up if you dont have all the coolant in there! Change your display to Celsius. Fahrenheit is sooo last century!
  21. yep - same as me... no way im wasting my hard earned cash on the depreciation of a brand new bike!
  22. don't think i'd buy a bike on finance. The real question is "would you buy a brand new bike?" If you would buy a brand new bike, then you are already resigned to the fact that it will instatly be worth less than you paid. So if you are happy with losing money - why not take out 0% finance and lose someone elses money instead of you own?
  23. You've got the version F9B.. Updated version.. Which means..? Ive got one of each, the F9 and the F9B... The F9 works fine, the F9B sucks... With the F9 its easy, but with the F9B you need to create a new file "times.txt" file with the time in... but that didnt seem to work for me when i tried it - must try again when i get some time.
  24. Drain the coolant completely and refil with the correct amount. That rules out any air pockets. Was there any steam from the exhaust pipe? Any bubbles in the expansion tank?
  25. You've got the version F9B.. Updated version..
