  1. thats only 82c so not hot at all.. wheres the coolant coming out?
  2. Is that the shoei GT-air? I'm planning to get one soon.. How do you find it?
  3. And what about these? http://www.sunax.de/en/photos Anyone tried one??
  4. Did I imagine it, or did I see a pinlock insert that was Photo reactive or whatever its called? So it goes dark in sunlight and clear at night...
  5. And a HUGE hammer
  6. 150quid for a gasket set sounds a bit pricey! factoring in your time and possible need to skim the head, and that you dont have all the tools, maybe worth considering a complete new motor? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-GSXR75 ... 2a2f66545d Engine swap should only take a couple of hours, then you can sell you old engine on ebay to get a good chunk of your money back.
  7. Not quite... what about a helmet with internal sun visor...
  8. Have to say I've been pulled by a bike copper, but he backed off when l told him that l had my clear visor in the top box. He gave me a good stare and quoted that its got no kite mark and are there dangerous in the dark "never" Since then l've also seen bike cops using them, on bright days there a god send for me they rid the road of a lot of glare. I ride with a clear visor and Polarised sunglasses. Polarised glasses really take out the glare.
  9. not allowed... tinted visors are illegal... doesnt stop people using them though.
  10. Page 3 - It says "pass two part practical test" So that means mod1 and mod2. And yes, wait till you are 19 (not long now!) so you can pass on the bigger bike.
  11. I went to look for a new lid at the weekend. I was looking at the shoei gt-air. Its a very nice helmet, solidly made and I've always been a fan of shoei helmets. What annoyed me a bit was that the same helmet just in different colours was priced radically different with all the colours I liked being the most expensive (typical!). Seems its purly marketing that's controlling the price difference not safety or features. That plus the way the sales staff ignored me for 10mins meant I still Dont have a new lid. But tbh my shoei XR1000 is still as good as it was the day I bought it so in my view, if you want a lid to last, buy a shoei!
  12. just get boozed up and fall asleep hugging your bike...
  13. Best bet, go to your local shop, get chatting with the sales person, try on a load of stuff and then ask if you were to buy the whole set of kit today could they do something with the price. Almost certain they will drop the price. You'll get some expert advice and get to try a few different options, and you get a good deal, they make a sale and gain a return customer. Everyone's a winner!
  14. Bought a few things from them. Fast delivery and good products. However its always best to try your gear on before buying, and shops often beat internet prices if you ask for a discount as they Dont need to cover postage. Support your local shops else they will all dies out.
  15. Yay! live and learn Mate, well please with it, as the song says thing can only get better Yep, I reckon they are great value cameras. Annoyed that the newer version I bought doesn't work as well. I've got a planto mount one low down in my fairing to watch my front wheel. Want to know how often its lifting off the ground as well as to whiteness countersteering to put the debate to bed for good...
  16. You tell me lol Works! Pretty cool footage. Shame you mounted the camera on its side. Buttons need to be at the top next time
  17. The video is still private. You need to share it so we can all see!
  18. dont buy the newer version! its crap So far ive not managed to set the time (its a different method from the older version) or record anything longer than 39 seconds!
  19. LOL yes... keep me remided!
  20. Im gonna see if i can make it this year. im useless with dates so will only know closer to the time.
  21. i got my card from Sainsbos. When ever i go in to buy food, i always browse the technology section (after reading all the bike mags) and they often have deals on memory cards. dont forget, for an evidence camera, you dont need a huge card, it only needs to record the previous few minutes on the lead up to the crash.
  22. Interestingly, the new version of the camera doesnt have the config file. To set the time and date, you need to create a specific file namesd something like "Time.txt"
  23. Nice one Stu send me the link please. I'm having trouble configuring the time stamp, l'm sure it's me, l managed to set the Updates to Y and enter the data but for some reason it will not lock it in, any ideas or pointers. Taking the modified trailer out later loaded with my gear ready for Assen pic's to follow. Attach the camera to the Trailer! that will give some very cool footage to set the time, you need to edit the file, and chance the "Update" at the top of the file.
  24. My new camera arrived yesterday. Looks slightly different from my first one. No white lines around it and the metal case looks a bit more glossy. The instructions are as cryptic as ever but they seem to suggest it has two recording modes, either continuous or looped. The mounting brackets are different too. Undecided if they are better or worse. I'll give the camera a test tonight and see how it works.
  25. Thanks for the reminder! Think the Mrs is away that week so I'm a free man... Let's hope for good weather like today!
