  1. Empty it out, leave it to vent for a while until all the vapours have gone before you do anything. I'd be tempted to chuck a match in their too to prove the point. Dont put water inside, you could cause it to corrode.
  2. still got the moulding spikes!! (same as my PR3s) just shows how well these last
  3. Sliders seem fine. Problem ive had is that the thickness of the legs make my calfs too big for my boots to do up!

    Blowing globes

Got a wiring diagram? Some bikes have the headlight running for the AC circuit, not DC from the battery. If its DC you could easily fit a voltage regulator.
  5. Naughty boy.. Not meant to overtake the front car at a crossing... That'll teach you!
  6. What's attracted you to the Sony? (Besides price)
  7. How long is your lifesaver taking? If you have time to drift, are you taking too long with it? Its just a quick glance - less than half a second..
  8. Tell them the hump is your parachute and watch the confusion on their face
  9. After owning the S1000RR for a few months I thought it would be a good idea to keep track of the mods ive made. So far, ive done: Tail Tidy: from this: To this: "Slick Mode" coding plug this provides access to the otherwise hidden "Slick Mode" that makes the bike a bit more lively. Need to remove the seat to plug it in. this is where it lives now - under the seat close to the ABS pump. Slick Mode is now an option: Removed rear pegs, and replaced rear seat with cowl. used a set of R&G blanking plates to cover the holes where the pegs would bolt on. Cheap Chinese seat cowl. Not a perfect fit, but not bad for 20quid! Other mods in the pipeline: I have a carbon hugger to fit, thinking of some more carbon, and would really like a new exhaust... when they happen, i'll update the thread.
  10. Well that blows my "F**k it" that I was about to post out of the water!! Sorry for your loss mate... Sounds like some alone time on the bike might be in order to gather your thoughts and make sense of it all.... Im not a religious man, but ive come to the conclusion that its true what they say - the universe never sends you anything it knows you cant deal with. My thoughts are with you and your family...
  11. I have the RST trousers. I once made the mistake of trying to put them on with no socks and sweaty feet... I got on a real tangle with the lining!! Now I always wear socks and make sure I point my toes!!
  12. The Idiot driving a Toyota MR2 who was showing off to his passenger, nearly pulled onto a roundabout in front of me, then undertook me and the car behind, before taking the same exit we were going to take... Impatient nob! Got it on camera - hopefully his bird realises just how slow his car really is now ">
  13. Anyone from out neck of the woods out on their bikes today?? Weather is great and hoping to sneak out on my bike shortly..
  14. Those bikes are so easy to work on, you won't have any problems mechanically, just make sure they are not stolen!!

    pillion?

remove the rear pegs, and rear seat - you dont want a pillion, they slow you down
  16. Awesome idea! Would love to join the fun, but I'm not home in time By the time I got there you'd be almost home.

  19. Wear boots!! http://www.sportbikes.net/forums/women- ... aphic.html
  20. Would love to go, but can't make it.. My aunties mini is in that museum..
  21. I used to ride my 50cc bike the 10 miles to school everyday when i was 16 years old, wearing school trousers, school shoes, ski jacket and ski gloves... Nobody every said a word about safety back in the 90's
  22. I used to ride an aprilia 125 to college. Big thing is you need a locker to lock your gear away inside whilst you're in class, otherwise there is always someone who thinks its funny to mess with your stuff. Good quality textile jacket and trousers are the way to go. The leather looks cool for summer but in winter you will get very cold and wet. Also yondisnt mention boots and gloves.... Need them too.
  23. Just signed up for a 6week personal training course at the local gym... Its gonna kill me!!
  24. went out to the garage to remove my rear foot pegs and replace with my new R&G blanking plates.... went to take some before/after photos and dropped my phone and shattered the screen... Just had to buy a replacement screen - thats another 80quid gone!
  25. Maybe try this: Position the bike with its front wheel against a wall and upright (on padock stand). Place laser spirit level across the back wheel and project the laser line onto the wall. Do this both sides, and the two lines should be equidistant from the center of the front tyre.... Never tried this myself, but sounds like it should work!
