  1. you have to plug it in and turn the camera on before it will be detected..
  2. Congratulations for the most sexist post ever My dad was way better at sewing than my mum haha I had to teach my other half how to use her knew sewing machine... Those needlework classes we were forced to take at school all those years ago have come in very hand many times..
  3. pretty easy to take the mic outside the camera and into the helmet Here you can see the mic (black and silver cylinder thing) on the red and black wires. easy to extend the wires through a hole in the camera body and into the helmet.
  4. I thought you were geting your knee down!! youTube takes a while before it lets you switch to 1080p. Looks good to me in 1080p
  5. That's what Im doing too. Easy enough to stitch the files together to make a longer movie if you need to.
  6. time to buy an adjustable oil pump... http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/500/a ... pump-aerox
  7. who did you order from? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111181617297 This is the one I bought, and it didn't arrive today, starting to get really annoyed thats who i got my first one from... mine turned up pretty quick
  8. who did you order from?
  9. Mostly labour charges. Where are you located? Someone from the forum might be able to pop round and give you a hand.
  10. I've ordered the newer model. Let's see if I can find and differences! Think I'll keep the newer one for helmet mounting and the original one (that I've taken to bits) for hardwiring to the bike.
  11. get a set of handlebar tie down straps. about 15quid off ebay...
  12. That will take longer than swapping the parts. if you have cheaper quotes for restrictor, take it to the other place, and if you feel capable, do the repairs yourself. save yourself a wedge of cash!
  13. Outch!! That's embarrassing.. Dont forget the 700quid will be for brand new genuine parts plus labour and warranty. Yes you could do it cheaper if you buy used parts and do it yourself. As for the restrictor - that does sound expensive. Ask them how much it would cost to remove once you're allowed to ride unrestricted. If the removal cost is a lot less, question the deacrepency as the labour involved is the same.
  14. you're clearly not 16. these days, they cant do maths like that!
  15. and apparently, the screw cap from a 2litre coke bottle will fit the screw thread on the back of the camera. So make a hole in a coke bottle lid and you can wire in the power cable.
  16. Or minus one tooth on the front will have similar results. Front sprockets are cheaper so you could buy a standard front and a T-1 front and compare the results. You will get better acceleration but reduced top speed.
  17. Its a two-stroke right? So 50mph for 10mins, the it slows down. It may be partially seizing. Turn up the oil pump so it gets a bit more oil.
  18. Regardless of how it was built, it's type approval for the uk is as a restricted 50cc moped. If you derestrict it then becomes a motorbike and no longer type approved for the roads. Probably then requires an IVA and new registration as a Motorbike not a moped.
  19. So, is this really the updated 2014 model? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1080P-HD-Wate ... 1e8b22d061 http://valuelinkusa.com:8080/swfupload/Pictures/DB0433/bf49d9ac23c342937c3d0a5b3f0c3bf1.jpg
  20. LOL, i m gonna buy my second one now then.. First one is in bits with lot of wires hanging out!!
  21. Who cares what it looks like. Its a learner bike so its never going to look awesome. Use it and abuse it. Throw it down the road and use it to acquire the skills you need to look after an awesome looking bike. Reliability and resale value are the two biggest factors.
  22. The camera clamp is pretty good. One drawback is that because the camera only fits in it one way, it has to be mounted with the screw hole at the bottom.
  23. S'pose you could always wrap it up in a load of insulation tape or heat shrink tubing. I'm hoping to put the power supply inside the body of the camera so I just need to run a 12v supply to the camera. I need a better mount. None of the supplied mounts are good enough for a permanent fixture.
  24. Trouble is the back has to be off. So I'm planning to drill a hole and run the lead into the camera - bypassing the stupid little plug.
  25. My best tradecard discount yet - the brake pads I ordered still not arrived so I went in and had words.. Ended up getting the more expensive pads totally free of charge! Retail: £77.30 Price paid: FREE 100% discount
