TC Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 Afraid I'm going to have to drop out of this one finances aren't brilliant and I've an exam in first week of sept which is extremely important No Probs Rob thanks for letting us know. Your future is more important then a drunken weekend in the lakes. Quote
mojobanana Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 £20 is fine for me. Saves worrying about the odd pennies here and there. Quote
Grumpy Old Git Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 £20 sounds more than OK. As to the camp-site, Do we need to book this individually, is someone else booking for all of us or, do we just 'turn up'? Quote
GarethNW Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Just turn up, Ive booked it and we can sort out payment for the camp fees when at the site.Last year it was £4 per person per night. Quote
Fozzie Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Put me down for the £20 thing. As long as you let trish cook gareth Nah you need to chase down a fat un with more meat on him Quote

TC Posted August 11, 2011 Author Posted August 11, 2011 Thats 19 bikes in all which is a pretty big number for a rideout in the Lake district.Thinking about spliting it into 3 groups. Still the same route at the same time, but staggered. So I'm after 3 Volunteers Who'd help to lead a group, just a sedate ride.Route will take in Hartside Cafe, Derwent water and Kirkstone pass. Quote
littlecat Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 19 bikes is doable if you use the drop off system with a tail end charlie, fair on everyone too , as they all get to play catch up at some point. Quote
hammer5 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Can we some hi via vests with the website url on them please?19 do able as long as we have common sense, markers and droppers. Aftrall were all wanting to ride together, however if that puts people into danger, then we split..Happy to help out if sober enough to ride BB Quote

TC Posted August 11, 2011 Author Posted August 11, 2011 20 is doable I just want someone placed to have a buffer zone so the guy/girl at the back is not doing 90mph to catch up.We will use the drop of system if everyone if ok with that. Quote
Devans Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 I can lead a group or be a tail ender if needed. Quote

TC Posted August 12, 2011 Author Posted August 12, 2011 I can lead a group or be a tail ender if needed. Thanks Devs. It just to have someone positioned in the group that knows where we are going incase we do get split up.Otherwise people in the front will be stopping all the time. Quote
