She is currently living indoors in the hallway, was a bit of a struggle getting her through the front door!

I have been off the road since November 09' and I understand some rules have changed? I have to get tax and insurance and I dont know where to start as yet, anybody know the drill these days?

Thanks.

Glad you've got it back! I would insure it TPF&T, I found Swinton to be the cheapest and declare it SORN.

I don't know the reason why you've been off the road for so long, or where your bike has been in that time but has it got an MOT?

Hey,

I went travelling abroad and sold it before I left to a mates dad. He just sold it back to me, it has MOT til AugI think, he is declaring SORN for me as well. So I just wait for the V5 to come back to me, then I can Tax and Insure.

I had a driving ban which expired but the DR10 endorsement is on my license for 11 years I think. I have a certificate to show I did the rehab course, but my insurance wont be as cheap as it used to be :crybaby:

Ah right. Did yo have to re-take your test and have you applied to the DVLA for your licence back? Even though you may have the paper/card I think you still need to re-apply or else the police will see it as having no licence. Worth looking into as you don't want to get caught out 8-)

Afaik insurance companies ask for claims or conviction in the last 5 years. So even if the endorsement is on the licence for 11 years, they won't need to know after 5..

Thanks, I missed her everyday I was away from her. But I had other things to get done in my life at that time...

I feel good now, but imagine when I first hit an open road again...then I will know not to make that mistake again!
