I would insure it TPF&T, I found Swinton to be the cheapest and declare it SORN.I don't know the reason why you've been off the road for so long, or where your bike has been in that time but has it got an MOT? He just sold it back to me, it has MOT til AugI think, he is declaring SORN for me as well. So I just wait for the V5 to come back to me, then I can Tax and Insure.I had a driving ban which expired but the DR10 endorsement is on my license for 11 years I think. davefly76 Posted January 9, 2012 Share Posted January 9, 2012 Ah right. Did yo have to re-take your test and have you applied to the DVLA for your licence back? Even though you may have the paper/card I think you still need to re-apply or else the police will see it as having no licence. Worth looking into as you don't want to get caught out Afaik insurance companies ask for claims or conviction in the last 5 years.
