Just got a new battery off Ebay.

I also have a Halfords charger, it says it is for up to 1200CC. I used it on my current battery, not sure if it is doing any damage but I got a new one anyway as the battery hasn't been used in time and sometimes when left just a few days wont start the Bike.

Any tips on prep and charging method?

Cheers.

I've got a Halford's charger but it has switches for car/bike,

and gel/normal batteries, it also has a charge and maintain function!

If yours is just a bog standard, 1 setting car charger, don't use it for a bike

battery!

A new battery will probably have enough charge to start the bike, then just

go for a ride :D job done!
