dragolith
Just got a new battery off Ebay.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270937343813?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649I also have a Halfords charger, it says it is for up to 1200CC. I used it on my current battery, not sure if it is doing any damage but I got a new one anyway as the battery hasn't been used in time and sometimes when left just a few days wont start the Bike.Any tips on prep and charging method?Cheers. megawatt
Do not use a car charger on it!!! Use a bike or trickle charger. Charge at lowest amp rate you can.
rennie
I've got a Halford's charger but it has switches for car/bike,and gel/normal batteries, it also has a charge and maintain function! If yours is just a bog standard, 1 setting car charger, don't use it for a bikebattery!A new battery will probably have enough charge to start the bike, then justgo for a ride job done! Colin the Bear
Gel batteries need a slow trickle charge. They can explode if charged wrongly.Have a look herehttp://www.batterystuff.com/kb/articles ... arger.html
dragolith
Since it is the only charger I have I wont risk it until I get a trickle charger then. Ill put it in and see it it works
