mattycoops43
Hi thereFitted new bars today, standard 7/8" fitting. The indicator switch gear was loose on the old bars, and now they are both loose, as in, will turn if you push them.In the past I have tried using insulating tape to take up the slack but it's too soft for the switchgear to clamp on, is there something I can use that will actually work?ThanksMatt

Stu
Don't they have locating holes like all of the ones I have seen?
mattycoops43
No, not on there before, and the bars that came off are aftermarkwt anyway.
Stu
Just out of interest take a look at the switch gear to see if it used to have the pins they might have been broken off for the old bars
mattycoops43
I will look and I expect they did have, but the new bars have no holes either so I'll try some thin rubber.
oslin06
I have had this on two other bikes i have had before I solved it by making up a stainless steel strip mounted from the switch forward clamp screw to the brake lever bolt, secures it all nicely.Keith
