gandy666 Posted August 31, 2012 Share Posted August 31, 2012 may have to do the clutch on my GSX 1100g this weekend.sourcing friction plates at the moment.some people say EBC are good, some say they're crap.what do you think?may go for genuine suzuki parts.generally will i get away with just friction plates or should I change the whole lot - springs, spacers etc.wont really know what I need until I take it apart tonight. Tango Posted August 31, 2012 Share Posted August 31, 2012 I put EBC plates and heavy duty springs in my ST clutch......no probs at all......no slip.....longevity?...dunno, only done a couple of thousand miles on mine, so it's a bit early to tell.... megawatt Posted August 31, 2012 Share Posted August 31, 2012 If your clutch has been slipping the steel plates will have got hot. If too hot , they will have warped or dished.
