I really enjoyed Sundays trip to The Ace and talk was of a ride out before winter really sets in. I wondered if anyone fancies a ride out Sunday October 6th somewhere. Possibly Hunny? Or Willingham woods for a good mileage trip? Rutland Water? Ace again? Suggestions and thoughts welcome :) this would be solely weather dependant of course as I got soaked enough Sunday :(

Yep, I'd be up for a rideout - mrs and weather permitting... :-)

It'll be good to put some faces to the names!

I've been talking to Stu about an end of season meet....and we were discussing suitable destinations and Stu had suggested Willingham Woods.....so maybe we'll see if we can get this set up..... 8-)

As with most of these things the weather will play a major part in it.....

If you're OK with us hijacking your thread and putting it up in the General biking events as an end of season meet, I'll discuss with Stu and see if this fits in with him too...... 8-)

Even though I'm bikeless I may nip over in the car for this if you hold it at the woods. It's only 20/30 mins from me. Be good to put faces to names. I've only ever me Craig and that was when he bought my Oxford panniers off me.

As Bob says we have been talking about an end of season meet and if you dont mind us hijacking we could do it on this date?

the nearer to me the better as I'm a bit north of you lot

So, if we can use this thread to organise the local ride up to Willingham that will be grand......

Just posted on main thread. Not keen on doing A1 -A46 direct route though, would prefer a more scenic route if possible.

I wouldn't go that way was thinking more back roads across cambs and Lincolnshire

Sounds good to me........ 8-)

Been looking on google maps there is a number of good routes via some main and some backroads I've used to Cadwell via Holbeach, Hubert's Bridge, Horncastle with long straights and twisty's and the roads are pretty quiet. Works out 93 miles from the Marina just depends if we go via Peterboro or not.

I think we'll try to organize a meet somewhere a bit closer to home for a "local" end of season meet Darren......maybe somewhere like Shuttleworth or similar........ 8-)

Once I've had a think about it I'll put a thread up..... 8-)

Good luck with the back Darren, keep us informed how it goes, even if it`s a pm to me/us on here. Hopefully by next spring you`ll be sorted.

Cheers mate

It's not the bike I'm worried about, just my own lack of skill mate :D

We'll not be setting a fast pace.....so no one would be pushing you to go outside of what you are comfortable with......so, if you do fancy the run let us know...... :)
