mattycoops43
Hi peeps.Bit of a funny one. Several times I have left my bike at work, when I come back to it at the end of a shift the trip meter is showing the permanent odometer mileage, and the trip mileage has been reset to 0.Not sure if this is a fault, or if someone is somehow messing with my bike while it's parked. It is acting as it does if I disconnect the battery, but the bike has no known electrical or starting issues, battery holds charge for weeks. Got me a bit stumped. Stu
trapping any wires or moving any while putting the steering lock on? mind saying that all the info of the last state is stored in the EEPROM chip so power wouldn't/shouldn't affect it
Tiggie
I had this happen to me. Water seeped into the button used to reset the gauge. Get your wd40 out
Adam
It's probably the same ghost that keeps messing with nman's bike!
mattycoops43
Thanks guys. We had top yoke off a couple weeks ago to tighten the bearings, but nothing trapped. There has been horrendous rain lately, and it lives outside, so wd40 is probably a good bet.
Swifty
Upon investigating this problem with the wifes bike the simple repair is a blown 10a fuse located behind the battery with the heading meter. Problem solved
