Hi all,

Removing my gixer engine this week and need to know what size sockets I will need?

Borrowing them off a private mechanic,so they should be good quality. I'd rather buy a halfords set but money is tight.

Listed in the Haynes Manual!

If we knew where you are based, we could (possibly) offer to lend you a complete set iof tools.

Not using Haynes, downloaded the service manual for free

Thanks a lot, my friend is a car mechanic and has offered to lend me anything I need. He just wants to know what I need.

Pretty much a 3/8" metric rail will do you (8mm - 22mm), spanners of the same sizes, set of hex keys/bits, maybe some torx bits, extending magnetic thingy, large adjustable spanners...

hmm, service manual eh? prepare to have your mind blown. those things go into far too much detail most times - haynes decants it into lego style step by step instructions.

best of luck though - i'm sure you'd have a hoot!

Seems simple enough. Just pics and numbers, instructions on which to remove.
