So pre test you do your u turns without putting your feet on the floor, now you have passed do you still do it like that?

I dont.

advanced training also requires you to be competent at u turning and other tight manoeuvres without putting feet down.

something im still trying to talk myself into , as I prefer not to

I dont do many u turns and i can do it without putting my feet down but i dont see the point. Might aswell just put your feet down and skip round.

I always thorght it was a pointless exircise.

I always keep my feet on the pegs as my balance is better that way. Has to be pretty tight to put them down...usually a three pointer in that case. Strange thing is it seems easier turning to the right?? :?

I think I find right easier too, but on my training I had to learn both ways, even though the Mod 1 u-turn was right anyways.

it's been about a year since i got my full license. I've done 2 U-turns. the first was at a mates house. surprised myself with how easy it was! then i decided the other week to see if i could still do slow manoeuvres. I can, and I don't know what the fuss was about for mod 1!

In my experience, telling yourself you can put a foot down actually (for me) makes it more difficult to execute that U-turn. turn your head right around and the balance of throttle and clutch will see the bike spin itself around. It's surprisingly easy, just a confidence thing.

at 21 on a 5k sports bike which has all my money invested in it and a huge turning circle? Ahaha, I don't think so.

Feet go down on U-turns, they usually just hang there and slide across the ground as I'm riding, but there is NO WAY I am risking dropping my baby!

I know I can do them with my feet up, infact I did one last night, but I usually don't risk it

I do u turns quite a bit, keep up to scratch, always feel a tool when I put my foot down and if I do I hear my instructor call me a dick in my head lol

Only if I have to. I prefer to pull in to a junction and turn round that way
