Hey Guys,

Just after everyones opinion here before I place an order :-)

I am about to order a new helmet and I'm currently looking at a Shark S600 reduced from £249.99 to £119.99 in the sale, I realise that the SHOEI helmets are apparently the best but out of my price range, I have also been told by people that wear them that the ARAI helmets can let in a lot of win noise.

Are the Shark helmets any good or has anyone else any good suggestions to look at ???

Regards

Stan.

I would try it on first and see if it fits properly. I had an S800 once upon a time and even though it felt good at first it put pressure on my forehead and gave me headaches all the time.

Personally I would keep the one you have a bit longer and wait till the winter when lids come down a bit and you might find that Shoei is in your price range ;)

:stupid:

I wouldn't buy a lid without trying it on first.......the sizes vary a lot......as does the internal shape of the lid........it may look on paper that it's the right size, but the fit could be wrong for you.....

My current Bell lid is perfect for me...... 8-)

Save your pennies and go to the Motorcycle Live Show in Brum in November......you'll get loads of choice there.....and be able to try all the lids on.... 8-)

Try before you buy, even if you end up ordering on line because of a deal

I'm between sizes in most Sharks I've tried.

I think its a good brand, that model has a 4star Sharp safety rating

£119 seems to be a fairly standard price for it on t'interweb so I wouldn't be too sold on the 'discount'

:stupid: x2 Try it on first. I have a cagiva and a hjc lid. both in the same size, the cagiva feels a little loose while the hjc is border lining being too tight  my ears were pretty tender after my 160 mile trip to the rally a few weeks ago!!

Worth a punt.. Can always send it back.

And Dont listen to anyone who says you can't, because distance sellers regulation does not exclude helmets!
