onesea Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Co pilot is a handy program to have but. ...Can some one explain the logic, all Road speeds set the same. ..Car: 1h 42mhttp://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u654/onesea/Bike/Screenshot_2015-05-30-06-32-34_zpsfqrrswwd.pngBike: 2h 37mhttp://i1326.photobucket.com/albums/u654/onesea/Bike/Screenshot_2015-05-30-06-35-18_zpszjkjnikq.pngSorry but when I want quickest I do not want an extra hour cause I am in the bike. Cannot fault that route given for bike isa nicer ride but nearly an hour slower! !This glitch and a couple of others mean I tend to use Google. ..Can some one explain. ... Quote
Matt Strange Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Perhaps it's worked out on the basis you're riding a 50cc 'ped? No idea!? Quote
mealexme Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 tbf, it probably is set to the nicest roads for the motorcycle one, otherwise they wouldn't bother having specific car and motorcycle settingsThe quickest route is more than likely the quickest whilst still using back roads. If you want the pure quickest route, why not just switch to back to car mode? Quote
Tango Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 You can set the speeds for different vehicles for the different types of roads.......as far as I remember they don't default to the maximum permitted speed for the particular road...... Have a look through the menus and you'll find where these settings are.......and you can then tweak them for your riding style...... Quote
Stu Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I have been looking for a mount for my phone and think I am going to give this copilot a go before I buy a dedicated sat nav Quote
Tango Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I have been looking for a mount for my phone and think I am going to give this copilot a go before I buy a dedicated sat navThe only problem I've found with waterproof cases for my phone is that the hard cases don't seem to have an inlet for power........but I modified my one toget the power lead inside and it don't let the water in........and it was given a real good test last friday....... The slimline hard cases work best IMO.......the screen is up against the clear panel on the case, which prevents it steaming up as much in heavy rain...... How about something like this Stu......http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291163463418? ... EBIDX%3AITSorry OP......not trying to hijack your thread..... Quote
Stu Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 thanks for the info Bob and the link but I was thinking something like this http://www.ultimate-mobiles.co.uk/Holde ... _Xperia_Z2the phone is already waterproof the only issue have with the mount above is if the phone actually clips in it looks like it does Quote
Paul-Kent Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I have an ultimate addons set up, has power lead case and mount, great bit of kit until the slide mount snapped.Hopefully to be replaced under warranty.Regarding co pilot, I'm still unable to download it Quote
fullscreenaging Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I have an ultimate addons set up, has power lead case and mount, great bit of kit until the slide mount snapped.Hopefully to be replaced under warranty.Regarding co pilot, I'm still unable to download it They are having an issue regarding the iPhone download so you have to download it using iTunes on your PC then connect your phone and sync it.I did that last night and am quite impressed with considering I paid £50 odd for the Garmin app a couple of years ago and find it very restrictive. It also can't find a lot of places I have looked up in those two years.Preferences are brilliant and you can easily change the route if you're not liking what it's suggesting using the drag and drop feature..The POIs are pretty accurate having looked up the local ones. On the Co Pilot unlike the Garmin. I'm going to try it out a couple of times, but I think I will pay £17.99 for the 3D upgrade. It looks worth the money.. Quote
Paul-Kent Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Finally got it to download, it wouldn't even work on my laptop. As soon as my new mount arrives I'll see what it's like. Quote
