XmisterIS Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 In every shop. The same three or four songs. On repeat. Endless repeat. It really brings out the Tourettes in me ... Quote
Hoggs Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 OOh fetch me my Grinch hat! I hate Christmas music. And Christmas in general, but sticking to the music. When I was 16/17 I worked in Tesco and they played the same sodding CD over and over and over and over again all day long from the beginning of November until the new year. We used to listen to Heart FM in this office but I went slightly postal last year when they started playing I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day in October so we listen to Radio 2 now. Quote
RantMachine Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I keep meaning to bring my copies of "A Heavy Metal Christmas", "A Heavy Metal Christmas Too", and "Darkest Carols Faithful Sing" into work so I can subject everyone to them, seeing as it's less than a month away now http://static9.therichestimages.com/cdn/864/432/90/cw/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/christopherLee.jpg Quote
Arwen Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I drive home/to inlaws for Christmas. When going to my parents it is a 2-2.5hrs drive, when going to my partners parents it is at least a 9hr drive, ends up more like 11hrs though. We purposely do not put the radio on because radio stations are obsessed with "Driving home for Christmas". It is on at least twice an hour, drives me mad! Quote
Guest Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I stayed in some premier inns last week and they were playing Christmas songs at breakfast. FFS it's still November. I f*** hate Christmas. Quote
Guest Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 For christmas muzak.. like any offensive muzak - earplugs. simple. and develop your lip reading skills.fwiw christmas began at august bank holiday.. probably not that noticable to most people, but this is when the large tins of chocolate arrive in the shops - and thats the start of it.just like.. on boxing day. if you have one of the smaller tesco 'fake' corner shops things local to you.. ask if they have stock of cadbury creme eggs in.. this is the start of easter. apparently the stores are told they must not put out these eggs until new years day. but many with small stock rooms ignore that.I dont hate christmas.. I ignore it. but then, im not subjected to its imminent arrival on a daily basis.no TV here. a major plus at this time of year. at any time of year for that matter. Quote

Six30 Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Fairy tale of New York ... Got to be up there as one of best Christmas songs. Yeh Christmas..it's not even December ..lights and trees going up and songs being played, my birthdays in June i don't start celebrating it at the end of April.Christmas was fooked for me when I found out Santa was a big fat drunk, he tripped over my dog last year pissed up after he left my prezzies in my room, then I heard my mum shouting at him, his name is Dave , same as my dads...hang on.... fq-craigus Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 What is this christmas people talk of? Quote
onesea Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I have a few Christmas songs lost in my phones several thousand I listen to when I am riding. Some days I enjoy them but that is not normally between March and October when you have not been force fed them.....I worked in Trinidad for a whilst and they had 100 days of Christmas on the radio.... Day no 1 they allowed them selves 1 song in 24 hour hours and built it up....As it seems here its lets get Halloween over so we can start Christmas in full... Quote
mealexme Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 your lucky you don't work in a supermarket, with the same CD playing on repeat 24/7.... Quote
