Stu Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 there should be no need to lift the tank to get to the idle screw it should be poking out the bottom of the frame rail on one side of the bike as for the oil pressure ensure you have enough oil in for a start Quote
Titus Pantus Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 I have enough oil in there and with regards to the idle adjust screw, I can't see any screw at all when looking at the throttle mechanism. Going out there again tomorrow after work so will check back in after that. Thanks again for your help! Quote
Hoggs Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Google images brings up idle screws under the tank which I though was weird http://www.bugmanweb.com/gsxr/gsxrimages/pair/idleadjust.jpg Quote
Titus Pantus Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 So, I had a couple of hours off work this morning so I cleaned the sensor again with carbon cleaner as well as the other plugs and sensors under the fuel tank. I had the battery disconnected and reconnected after I put everything back together. I started it up, no codes, no oil pressure light on, everything seemed OK. I chucked me gear on and off I went. Only rode about 5 miles or so due to coming back to work but it is a completely different bike! No stalling at all, power all the way through the band, no smelling of fuel and running rich and even the idle has sorted itself out. Bloody brilliant! Thanks for your help guys I really appreciate it, now I just need to get off the locking fuel cap I have no key for......... Quote
