Go for it

I'm proud to be a fair weather rider ;-) that's more than what can be said for owning a Bandit

Nothing wrong with bandits. Good all rounder bikes and not to expensive for first bikes either.

Loved mine to pieces until I hurled it down the road! :D

Date sounds good.. Is it fixed??

Does that mean we have a venue??

Littlecat, does that "noooooo" mean you can't make it?

Not all of us can afford to buy costly bikes, Mine was what i could afford at the time.

Anyhow i like it so that's all that matters.

Amen to that. Mine was cheap-ish and I do or don't like it depending on which way the wind is blowing, probably would've done a lot more miles by now if I'd spent the same money on a Bandit instead!

But you'd lack the mechanic aptitude you have picked up courtesy of the BMW. So there's a silver lining! As it has also fed your desire to further it with the CG.

The only actual gripe I have with the bandit is its name, and its handling. Plus as the years went on it went from a kind of cool naked bike, to a big tourer, and the name didn't fit anymore. It always bugged me as it was like calling Austin Powers fat bast*rd "slender".

Never noticed an issue with the handling, but then i've only ridden a chinese bike... :D

I'm sure if i rode a sports bike i'd notice!

You'd notice that they're great when you're going above 20. PITA if you're trying to slow speed maneuver them in a car park! Swings and roundabouts :)

Did I get a bite here?

I'm only pulling ya pisser

yes not all of us can afford costly bikes thats me included!! the FJR was relatively cheap!! and its actually the first bike I have bought in over 9 years

I swapped the TL for a gsxr600 that I had at the time and I owned that for 8 years

although I spent a lot on it over the years :?

me neither! when I rode my brothers it handled rather well

the only downside was that the foot pegs scraped the floor on corners a little too easy  the suspension is a tad soft on them but most bikes are like that!
