MR_W Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I try to keep my tyre pressures in line with the manual so 36 front, 42 rear, and that needs doing regularly. The problem is I have big hands, so how do people cope with doing the front wheel? 2 massive discs make access awkward but I was wondering how people deal with their access to the tyre valve?Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Quote
Stu Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I just make sure the discs are cold first and struggle Quote
MR_W Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 It's more getting the pump on and off. I have a traditional tyre gauge I can use fine, it's more getting pump on and off quick enough I don't end up losing all the air I pumped in as I can't get my hands in properly.Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Quote
Stu Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I always over inflate it to solve that issue then let the air out Quote
MR_W Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 I always over inflate it to solve that issue then let the air outAh I had been doing that so on right track I guess.Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Quote
JRH Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I use a side access pressure gauge and an angle valve attachment to inflate as below Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 got to agree with jrh get an angled valve adaptor to screw on first i dont advise leaving one on all the time tho as they do seem to let air by a little a lot of the time but ideal for checking tyre pressures and inflating them Quote
MR_W Posted May 14, 2016 Author Posted May 14, 2016 I tried those angled valves. Wasn't convinced by them so went back to the awkward hand fiddling between the brake discs.Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Quote
