Hello to all. Is anyone gonna be riding across to this along the A65/A59 or nearby on the Sunday?

I'm camping in Masham that weekend but gonna head over on the sunday and take a butchers hook. If anyone is coming across i could meet up somewhere on the way?

Hi all, I have been asked for the park/show guidelines by a couple of clubs to put on their websites, so I thought I’d do the same on all the club sites attending. Please abide by these guidelines. Any questions please ask….

*********************************************************************

Whilst within the grounds of East Park, please observe the following rules:

Please stick to the speed limit of 5mph. Remember it is a park and there may be children running onto the road.

When driving onto the grass please take care. Sharp acceleration and braking can damage the grass.

All vehicles that are taking part in the show must be in place by 9am. Once your vehicle is in place for the show, please do NOT move it before the end of the show (unless by prior arrangement). There is strictly NO ENTRY to the showground after 10am.

Please have your clubstand pass to hand when entering the showground, and keep it on display if you want your vehicle to be judged in the day’s competitions.

There is a strict ‘NO ALCOHOL’ policy on the day of the show. Also no Bar-B-Q’s are allowed in the park.

Please be responsible when playing music. This is a family show so no content that may offend others. We understand that music will be played quite loud, but please not SO loud as to upset your neighbouring clubs.

Please be responsible with litter, broken bottles, discarded plastic bags etc. Discarded plastic bags and bottles can kill or harm the local wildlife. There will be plenty of rubbish bins provided on the day, please use them.

Please respect other park users. They may not enjoy similar things to you but they have the same rights to enjoy the Park.

Please listen to and respect the park staff / event staff. They are there to ensure this event runs as smoothly as possible.

ENJOY YOURSELF, ENJOY YOUR DAY, ENJOY THE PARK

*********************************************************************

we now have 490 paid/confirmed vehicles for HMS2008...

thanks for your continued support, see you all there..

I've just had 1 of them random, middle of the night thoughts

We've got to park bikes on grass and leave them there! anybody got lots of sidestand pucks or whatever you call them?

if grass is soft all the bikes will fall over!

Posted

I will bring a few pucks, and I will try to remember to bring a load of wood offcuts as well.

Are we still planning on taking the motorhome as the clubstand - I will roll out the awning and then we can have brews etc, oh and i will bring the gennie and laptop etc so we can have some pics rolling on the pc and the van can provide music and somwhere to sit.

Posted

Akey, not sure what you've got in the van to play music on, but I'm bringing player & long 4way extension cable to V's for weekend - can use that if you want.

Might be tempted to burn a disc with favourite TMBF camping weekend music on it!!!!!!!

have just read through this and gather its too late to put me bike in? Am not happy bout leaving the bike in a public car park as it has no ignition key or theft insurance so am hoping I may be able to pay when we get there? Will feel much safer being able to see it while we are there!

Posted

Pete if you are staying at vix on sat night or if you can get to vix early enough you can jump in the camper van with me fella (van is gonna be the stand!!)

Susie, got a cd player but will have the gennie so we can use a stereo if you bring it (might have to go buy the bose sound dock for the Ipod )

Posted

Cheers akey, am stopping over at V's both nights so that would be cool, ty you a star :)

Posted

I should have my new Ipod dock by then  not sure how loud it will be though.

With all 3 of those we should be able to sort something out then.

Pete your welcome fella.

Posted

pete you will be able to get your bike close to the stand anyway i reckon if not there is plenty of trees to secure it to i can provide two big chains and vicki has one aswell so plenty of security :)

might be worth going on bike and seeing if you can get it on the stand :?

Posted

 I just read the full thread too Pete :hammer: and have done the same, thought you could just turn up lol oh well.

Saying that 9am  on a weekend, is there such a time ?

Posted

The idea was to promote the forum at the show. For this we need to be there as a 'stand' for 9am.

You had to register to show your bike, im not sure if you can enter late.

I dont envisage us all stood around all day, and if u aint showing your bike, nothing to stop half going off for a ride, whilst half stay, then swapping over.

Posted

Oh and I will bring some washing kit and polish as vicki doesn't own any

Posted

good point akey i will bring mine along on friday and chuck it in the garage then put it in the van for sunday if thats ok :D
