Hoffnungslos Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Evening everyone, hope Santa was good but even more important, hope the weather is still ok for some riding where you are in the UK.Had the Triumph Street Scrambler out on Christmas Eve for the longest ride yet. Was up and down the carriageways of Aberdeen in and out of the twisty farm roads. Total of about 160 miles so we have 184 on the clock. Went to take her out yesterday, wouldn’t start and oil needed refilled. Done that without even thinking of looking down below.Behold, today directly below the bike is an oil puddle! Would be exactly where I think the oil sump would sit. Does anyone have any slight idea what this could be? Or if any other recent Triumph bike model owners have had the same issue?Cheers Quote
Bender Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 brand new bike = dealers problem Not if it's got a hole in the sump, hopefully just a gasket or seal Quote
Hoffnungslos Posted December 28, 2017 Author Posted December 28, 2017 Does it have any impact damage Can’t imagine it would have fella, il go down and get another look at it but it’s been ridden softer than my misses Quote
Hoffnungslos Posted December 28, 2017 Author Posted December 28, 2017 All looks good underneath, gave it a wipe to make sure the small amount of dirt wasn’t hiding anything.Puddle on the paper was just today, oil gauge is now empty when it was up to the manual advised level this morning. Oh well, off to the dealership Quote
Hoggs Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 hope it's nothing too serious Hoffnungslos Quote
Westbeef Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Is it leaking from the plug area mate? Hope you get it sorted without much fuss Quote
