Bianco2564 Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 http://www.nationalmotorcyclemuseum.co.uk/event-directory/museum-live/Been the last couple of years, does get very busy. Quote
Mickly Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Busy is a real understatement- took my 5 year old grandson last year - it was absolutely rammed.Unfortunately mostly full of grumpy old men with questionable hygiene who thought nothing of barging the young guy out of the way to get a better view and tutting when I prevented it happening again.Still, don’t mean to put anyone off, it’s free and there’s loads of good stuff in the car park as well as the museum - just sharpen your elbows!! Snod Blatter Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Thoroughly enjoyed this last year, it's well worth a look! Quote

Slowlycatchymonkey Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 An excellent plan, are you available to hire for subterfuge? Quote

Snod Blatter Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Bumping this because it's tomorrow from 8:30 til 17:30 and free. Yes it contains Henry Cole but I'm sure he can be mostly avoided, just as Steve Parrish could be given a wide berth last year.Anyone going? I'm tempted.. Quote
Slowlycatchymonkey Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Looks good, particularly the raffle prizes! So I’m not the only one who finds Henry Cole a little irritating then! I just couldn’t understand how he got the job and there’s something so incongruous about him, someone trying to be cool dropping his t’s when he says words like motorbike or mate but prounouncing other words perfectly so I googled him. He got the job because he gave it to himself. His company make the programmes. Due to no decent alternative I still watch them though Quote
Tiggie Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 I've never minded him, quite enjoyed his Riding route 66 show and the others. But then again I don't mind chris evans either despite him being universally despised by everyone I know Quote

Snod Blatter Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Well, after all that I stayed at home and rescued my long lost Dogecoins by finding my private keys because it was chucking it down all day, so much worse than what was predicted.Did anyone go? Did I miss owt? Quote
Bianco2564 Posted October 27, 2018 Author Posted October 27, 2018 Went along this morning, it was plus one degree when I left home,'kin freezing.Spent a couple of hours there and left before it gets too busy to move.Saw John McGuiness unloading his van with his merchandise, glad to see he is not such a stuck up celebrity getting some flunkies to do this for him.Had a chat with Allen Millyard and a look at his amazing creations.Saw someone who looked like Henry Cole, but he was taller, thinner and scruffier than I imagined.Bought my raffle ticket, fingers crossed.Listened to a number of race bikes fire up, such fantastic sounding machines, some reluctant to start due to the freezing conditions but all went eventually.Only gripes were paying £5 for two cups of tea but was so cold I needed it and inconsiderate bike parking blocking other bikes in.Got home at 12 just made it before it pi55ed down with rain.
