Smithers Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I don't think I'd want to be on that road with idiots like that driving on it. Give people an inch and they'll always take a mile. Quote

Unfortunately there's idiots on it all year round, the only saving grace here is that its one way for the TT period, still can't get my head round why they haven't done that for the festival of motorcycling yet? It really has saved a lot of lives.... Quote
gogs01 Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 "Can't be done anywhere else in the world" ? - Germany anyone ? Quote
Gerontious Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 If its legal and safe, it's not speeding. In Germany only rural stretches of autobahn are without limits but, you really need to be on top form concentration wise. Because there are restrictions and these are always enforced by cameras. It can come as quite a shock to be pootling along at 200 and suddenly... At those speeds, instantly be reduced to 20. With a camera that will go off if you pass it at 21. And then... A few weeks later a fine (if you're lucky) or a summons (if you're not lucky) drops through the letterbox. Quote
Marino Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 here is the map of German autobahn where no speed limits exist http://autobahnspeedhunter.com/ Quote
Bender Posted June 22, 2019 Posted June 22, 2019 I did a charity run through Tyne tunnel with no speed limit, was worth evert penny. Quote
