Mirror loose

Hi Everyone

I'm new to bikes and I've got a lot to learn, both riding and maintenance.

This morning one of my mirrors vibrated loose on a dual carriageway. Pulled over and managed to rotate it until it tightened enough to get me home.

How do you tighten these mirrors fully.

I've attached a photo but not sure if it will upload.

Usually they tight up by rotating as you did, as well there is the nut that holds it and can be adjusted as well

I zoomed in on your picture and to be honest I can't see how you tighten it up . Is there some kind of cap in there that pops out ?

Some mirror threads are left handed!

I had a bike on which one mirror was always vibrating loose no matter how much I tightened it. Keep an eye on it and if it works loose again use some threadlock on it.
