Bryera Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Ok I have a lot of neck and shoulder pain after riding and have been tolled if my handel bars was higher and more my way it would help. Has any one used handlebar risers ?? Looks like I have plenty of cable if I was to fit them but the one that gos to the brake fluid I not to sure can you get longer brack fluid cable going from the Handel bars to where it gos to ? Quote
Snod Blatter Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 You can get longer hoses from a few places if you specify what you need but quite often you can get away with just re-routing them. Quote
fastbob Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 You can get brake hoses in any length you want cheap as chips if to buy off eBay BY LENGTH rather than for any specific bike . You do take a bit of a chance if you have any weird shaped banjos ( the round bits on the ends ) but it worked for me when I was building my ER5 . Quote

You have got to mean 2cm surely ? The easiest and possibly cheapest way to go is to shove a set of these or similar under the bars . You might even get away without changing any hoses or cables . Buy these first and give it a go , it'll only take five minutes to fit them . Then you can see if you need to spend any more money. Quote

He could mean 2 metre, which would give him a fair old set of ape hangers. Quote
skyrider Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 yea would look like the guys in the easyriders film Quote
fastbob Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 yea would look like the guys in the easyriders film If you look at the Captain America bike it had risers , a piece of bar and then another set of risers. Billy's was by far the cooler bike with only the one set of risers. Quote
Scoot65 Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 I had a similar problem when riding my Triumph Speedmaster (865). It was an easy enough job to do. Here's a thread I posted on another forum three years ago.https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/swapped-stock-2005-risers-for-newer-model-risers.5427/ Quote
