Ricco1 Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 OK I have a Grom that has those horrible running lights, where the front indicators stay on steady all the time unless you indicate to turn. The right side 'running light' has now stopped working but the indicator still works. I don't want to confuse car drivers any further than is necessary.Seems like a simple fix this but I've recently bought the bike and don't have a manual. First problem is that the indicator stem doesn't have any screws that retain the lens. How do I remove the lens to see what's going on? Next, I can only assume that, as the indicator is still working, the bulb probably has 2 filaments, one of which has blown. Otherwise it's going to be an electrical problem/ short. I've scoured the internet, can't find any replacement bulbs. Any ideas where I can get one?Lastly I'd like to get rid of the running lights. Might it be a case of just changing the double filament bulbs (assuming that's what they are) with single filament ones, along with a dose of hoping for the best?Hopefully there are some Grom owners out there who can help.Cheers. fastbob Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 They will have three wires . Just disconnect the right one and away you go. Quote

The one with the white stripe.Edit first link may not work. Second does Quote
TimR Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 if they are double filament bulbs the holders will not be suitable for single filament due to the contact method differ. As FB says isolate the power source for the bulbs ( if you can find the original feed it will be only 1 wire to disconnect rather than each seperate ind .If new new bike speak to dealer before you risk invalidating any future warranty wiring issues and if they can undertake the task or if there is a known solution Quote

Beansie Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 I can confirm if you pull out the orange/white wire and blue/white wire it stops them coming on as a daytime running light but leaves the indicators working as normal, literally just done it tonight. Quote
