Future Mechanic (7 year old saves her Dad from mistake)

Did oil and filter change yesterday. I am, however, slightly embarrassed - and very proud - that my 7 year old daughter pointed out that I needed to put the plug back in before pouring the new oil in (as i was about to do) as it would all fall out at the bottom!

To which the correct response it - I wondered how long it would be before you spotted that.

My father in law did it once.

In a similar vein, my 3 year old Grandson was sitting in the back of his Dads car and when Dad got back in after fueling up William says to Dad, "Daddy I thought you told me that that pump would make your car poorly" at that moment Dad realised he had put unleaded in his diesel car. Oops, pretty smart far a 3 year old.

Our 5 year old grandson doesn't want to ride in Nanna's "boring old diesel" BMW but wants to go in Grandpas fast petrol car (an M3).
