Any members know value of a late 70s mz ts250 ?? And a late 80's etz 250 ?...both running and ts has got drum break and premix. Been offered a swap with them for a bike of mine valued around £1400

Here are some typical asking prices from a German dealer but that doesn't mean that anyone is buying . A bike is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it ( or them )

I've seen a few MZ,s that have been chromed , painted and polished to a higher standard than they deserve and they don't look half bad . Here's a little inspiration.

Taste is personal thing, that looks awful to me.

Perhaps you would prefer the standard Trophy version ? Or would the 125 be more to your taste ? I had two of these . Communist technology at its finest .

They look bloody horrible.....

Maybe so , but I really enjoyed owning and riding mine . Edit : For that very reason . One useful feature was the ability to remove the rear wheel without removing the chain . The lockable " Cupboard " for keeping your Two Stroke in was useful when you could get it to open . Best of all was the universal ignition / headlight switch thing that was the same for every bike . No need for security devices in a Socialist Utopia .

They look great. Mate at work had a one like that red un, he sold it but never mentioned the fact to me but I would've been very tempted.
