manxie49 Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 OK This is really simple I know but its doing my head in! Small clip on MT10 Hugger, holds rear brake line in place (see photo). Does anyone know how to remove this clip from the hugger without breaking it?? I've pushed, pulled, twisted and it doesn't seem to want to budge! "Should have been an easy job compared to replacing the brake lines" I'm sure its something simple but I can't figure it out Quote
fastbob Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 I would guess that is secured by some sort of automotive Trim Clip that expands when pushed through a hole . Removal would require it to be squeezed together so that it fits back through the hole . Quote
Rob Taylor Posted May 25, 2020 Posted May 25, 2020 I have these (or similar) on my vulcan. Squeeze the back tabs together with some needle nose pliers to remove the whole clip, or just twist a flat blade screw driver in the lip on the top if you just want to release the brake line. They're only cheap if you do manage to break it, but they are pretty flexible. geofferz Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 I used to have and mt10 and if I recall correctly you have to pull the clip apart - I think it's an O with a notch and a lip that bites into it? Shouldn't be hard-I'm a dunce and I managed it. Quote

Really fiddly to get at but managed with some electrical pliers, thanks Quote
