I tried it and I cant work out if it felt better or not, Id say it takes alot of practice to feel natural. I felt slightly squeezing the brake meant there was a chance id touch throttle when shouldn't..

Then I saw the i2i training guy totally slate trail braking on a facebook video. He usually tells it how it is and makes sense.

 

On my cbt i was bollocked for brake light being on close to a corner that was tighter than i thought lol. They too were against brakes unless upright

Tom of i2i is a straight up guy. I’d go with his opinion, too.

I was hoping to go do a course or 2.. seems very much worth it

Agree. The i2i courses are a great chance to learn new skills; good fun too.
