Have you got much space between the tyre and mudguard/frame?

and chain too

I have a powerbronze tyre hugger on the back.... Also if tyres are getting changed I would be changing the chain and sprocket too

Why?

More grip on the road for wet weather and I feel like thin tyres just catch everything on our roads here (council leaves potholes the size of sinks 😂

I doubt there will be any discernible benefit for the hassle. You may need to notify your insurers as this is definitely a modification on a safety item.

Unless you are offsetting the chain and sprockets then you are still faced with the same problem of the tyre and chain coming in to contact

Fitting a wider tyre on a rim its not made for will give you less grip as you are changing the tyres shape

You need to find out what the rim width is first and see if those tyres are recommended for that width of rim

Then measure the clearance between the chain and tyre and with a bit of calculation you can work out what the gap would reduce to with the new tyre

I looked into this when I had 125s for many years, just buy premium tyres of the right size. They'll give you a lot more confidence.
