Pbassred
Before we start (assuming anyone reads this original post). She is too short for most bikes. Even the lowered ones. Seriously - we have been around this loop many times:- There are no riding schools who can offer a lowered bike including a Honda Rebel that she can learn on. yes really! My wife needs to buy a Honda rebel because its the only way that she can take an A2 test. The school can't insure it if they don't own it (and why would they). She needs to insure it to ride with an instructor (only). We are all ready ringing round but has anyone here actually done this?
S-Westerly
Sounds like a horrid Catch 22.
KiwiBob
Can you insure it and have her as a named rider?
Fish
Sounds like you need to speak with some of the many specialist insurance companies rather than asking on a forum.

I know someone who got a school to insure her bike for the test for the same reason she had a Kawasaki Vulcan. If I recall right a friend rode it to the test station for her as she would not of been insured… Edited January 30, 2022 by onesea

Its an option. So far she had one quote of £600 for 60 days - probably less than 10 hours of riding with an instructor.
