eveanbob Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 hi guys can anyone help i have a 1978 cb250t superdream when i get it running the left exhaust pipe gets really hot the right one seems to be the correct temperature ive been told the carbs might need synchronising any suggestions Quote
Ian Frog Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 Get the carbs balanced first then fit new plugs if you can and check again especially for air leaks around carb rubbers. A solution of water and soap is good for this or spit if you are lazy like most of us. Cheers Ian Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Or spray something like WD40 around the rubbers. If there is a leak it will be drawn in and since it's combustible you'll hear the idle speed rise. Quote
billy sugger Posted August 4, 2022 Posted August 4, 2022 Remove spark plugs and check electrode colour. You are looking for a coffee coloured tip to see if mixture to that cylinder is correct. Black means burning oil or not enough air, light grey to white means rich mixture so burns hotter Quote
fastbob Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 How do you know it's one hot and one normal ? It might be one normal and one cold . Quote
