Just been watching some youtube vids of this device but I can't find anywhere online in the UK to make a purchase. Has anyone used one of these or similar as it seems a great idea.

The visor shop sell them, if this is what you're looking at? Never used one myself or know anyone who has.  I did see a cyclist last winter wearing something similar, certainly made him easier to see.  https://www.thevisorshop.com/en/gb/Nolan-N-COM-ESS-Helmet-Brake-Light/m-26284.aspx?PartnerID=21&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shoppingUnitedKingdom&msclkid=128c85c4bf2c1b2099cbe6d946e35151

Thanks for the link, I think that's manufacturer specific. The "Brake Free" is a stand alone unit that can be swapped from helmet to helmet and has contained electronics.

That seems to fit the bill thank you. I want one that is app free and with the one in the link you have a choice to use the app or not. Will go and seek some reviews, thanks for the link.

Can I make another suggestion..  Recto reflective tape, it's even available in Black:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/VFLUO-STANDARDTM-reflective-motorcycle-TechnologyTM/dp/B01M137J3L/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=1O7OEVPDILN7R&keywords=retro+reflective+tape+black&qid=1663061619&sprefix=retro+reflective+tape+black%2Caps%2C115&sr=8-4

It does not need recharging or batteries and is surprisingly good at making you more visible.

I realised when following  my mate who had been to Europe so had it on for that. It kept catching my eye as he turned his head..
