manxie49 Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 As a road racing fan I'm pretty much gob smacked by this news! I'm now dubious, given the way things are, if it'll ever return. Road racing is being pushed into history, just like the clowns that govern this Island seem hell bent on doing with the TT and MGP. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-64591498 3 Quote

MikeHorton Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 I just saw this too sad times and I'm guessing will have a big impact on the local economies Quote

I fully appreciate what Philip McCallan was saying in his interview regarding getting spectators to pay. I just don't really understand how that would work when racing takes place on public roads? Donations or crowd funding maybe. I think the organisers are being very short sighted, these events bring in thousands for local businesses. Pubs and restaurants when I was there last were heaving!
