Hello everyone, I have just joined the forum from New Zealand.  I'm 75 and a short time ago, in my youth, rode a Suzuki T20 for many years.  Our family has joined the electric car "revolution" and I started this by purchasing a Vmoto electric scooter over 12 years ago.  This scooter has been great value, although perhaps requiring (sealed lead acid) battery changes more frequently than ideal, due to my penchant for using the machine in the "max" setting too much!  My 20 year old son has recently "commandeered" the Vmoto for transport to university, but I found that I missed having the extra modality of a scooter so much that I have just purchased a Horwin EK1 electric scooter.

I believe that this scooter is quite new to New Zealand and coupled with the usual inadequacies of an owner's manual perhaps translated from another language, the firm I bought the scooter from seems to have minimal knowledge or understanding of the machine they sold me!  As a very much hands-on, do-it-yourself type of person, I am joining this forum in the hope that I may be able to get advice and guidance from other members which will allow me to work on the scooter myself when necessary.

Best wishes,

Peter

Hi Peter we love pics on here so please get posting. Electric doesnt really fit the bill for me yet but I'm sure it will. If I only had a short commute I'd probably opt for a super soco here in the UK
