But partaking in a disabled bay is just wrong. My mum used to have a blue badge. My daughter often gave her a lift into Walsall, parking in a disabled spot on the hill where the market is (was?). My daughter used to get flack occasionally as she’s patently not disabled and her car was a Merc SL - not your typical car for disabled people. My mum would arrive, hobbling along with the aid of two sticks, and make it very clear that the complainers were way off the mark. PS. My mum’s now 95, and fighting fit. She’s had operations to deal with the walking issues and has given up her blue badge. 6 Quote

Feels like a different life, but Walsall is the nearest I have to a home town. Edited yesterday at 07:04 by Gerontious 3 Quote

I’m a Brummy, moved to Aldridge when I was 17, served my apprenticeship at Aluminium Bronze Co on Wallows Lane, Bescot, over the road from the old Saddlers football ground. I have many happy memories of my late teens in Walsall, particularly the “Bier Keller” at the Dirty Duck. Quote

Mold Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago I only recently found out that new cars don't have a spare wheel! The 'people' who made that decision are the type of people who phone AA to replace the wheel and would have difficulty identifying a spanner, unless they looked in the mirror. 3 Quote
S-Westerly Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago When my wife got a new car I had a whinge about the lack of a spare wheel whereupon she asked me where was the spare wheel for my bike.....Point. 1 2 Quote
S-Westerly Posted 30 minutes ago Posted 30 minutes ago My HR department have the collective IQ of an amoeba. They've known for 2 weeks we need to change out at least 13 guys and they've been prevaricating for days now. Finally I went over their heads to big boss so it is now happening on Sunday except for 2 Filipinos who've already been here 9 months and despite weeks of planning HR haven't got the right documentation for their replacements. Oh and me as my relief is relieving the Mate who's well over his time. Meanwhile they'll source another Mate to come here so the guy who's supposed to be promoted can relieve me. Maybe in a month. I hate these reptiles. 1 Quote
