AstronautNinja Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Figured I'd share the account. I've really enjoyed some of the very technical vids covering certain repairs. Guy seems to really know his beans. The geeks among us will appreciate his approach and knowledge https://youtube.com/@superbikesurgerytv?si=ZHri0mORhhMGrxEA 1 1 Quote
Mickly Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 I’ve recently caught up with this channel and am really enjoying it, biggest take out so far is that ultrasonic cleaning of carbs is not the magic fix some people would have you believe. Another point is about the number of so called ‘professionals’ who have worked on the stuff before & failed to fix it and in some cases done work that wasn’t required and even worse made things worse. 1 Quote

Just in the past six months, I have experienced both of these. It cost me an extra £400 Quote

I was going to say similar when someone suggest cleaning previously I have a small one, excellent in some ways and very disappointing in others. 1 Quote

Very technical blended with just the right amount of "FT" torque settings etc Does plenty of long, multi part videos and from my 3 weeks of watching has yet to be beaten. Quote
RideWithStyles Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 (edited) I have watched a good few of his vids before now. I like the detective work to diagnose a problem , he is obviously very switched on in a methodical manner. the humour of struggles with the camera or taking the oiss out of himself makes me laugh for one, odd times where is gets a little side tracked on the manner in hand but still relevant, great of him to share even a small portion knowledge he has with those that don’t . I'm tempted to join his discord server, it's only $1 a month for basic access to what is effectivley a repair forum. Quote

smallfrowne Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Nice. I'll have a look too. One of the first ones that comes up is steering head bearings. I'll judge him based on that. Pain in the arse job. Quote
bud Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Been watching him for years. He never used to be so sweary. He was very erratic in when he released videos. But seems to be making an effort to do more regular content now. A very knowledgeable guy. 1 Quote

He did recently post that he's earning about £90-130 a month IIRC and is either gonna push to post weekly or sack it off. Editing is tone consuming, not to mention the delay talking through the entire job. I appreciate his efforts and have taken much from the videos 2 Quote
